CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE
General Meeting - Monday, December 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Centre.
We will have our Christmas Potluck Supper so bring your favourite dish and enjoy the evening. At this meeting the
names of nominees will be posted and members will vote for the new executive for 2017.
As a fundraiser for "Free the Children". Rafiki beaded brace-lets made by the "Me to We" program will be for sale for
$12.00. Donations of socks, scarves. underwear, and toiletries will be gratefully accepted for the
downtown Refuge Centre.
SERRA MEETING
There will not be a Serra meeting in December.

Saint Vincent de Paul Annual Toy Drive
The toy drive and Angel tree will start on November 26th until December 18th
New unwrapped toys can be left at all masses, or you can take a tag with a gift suggestion from the
Angel tree. Monetary donations of $10.00 or more will receive a tax receipt.
There will not be coffee / cookies after the Sunday

Marriage Preparation Course
We will be starting a marriage preparation course at St. Joseph the Worker!
Our six-week course will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall on the following dates in
2017:

ST. JOSEPH’S CHOIR
Practices take place on Tuesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the Church. New members are more than
welcome! Knowledge of music is not necessary, just the joy of singing and serving our
parish. Please give serious consideration to joining our choir!
Attention Grade 12 graduates of Msgr. Paul Dwyer Catholic High School!!
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship either from the Knights of Columbus or the Catholic Women’s League, kindly address a one page letter to the Grand Knight (Norm Lambert) or the President of the CWL (Pat Gilray) and submit it to the Parish Secretary. In this letter, please state whether you are planning to attend college or university, your report card average and if you are involved in any extra curricular activities, in what capacity and for how long. These letters are due no later than January 29th.
Register your child for Kindergarten! Your child must be turning 4 years of age by December 31, 2017 in order to register. Step 1: Visit dcdsb.ca from January 16 to 20, 2017 to enrol your child through the online registration process.
