The

3M™ Fire Barrier Duct Wrap 615 & Accessories 3M recognizes the need to fire protect the integrity of stair pressurization ducts, life safety

ducts and smoke exhaust systems. Fire compartmentation and the continued operation of life

safety duct systems are essential for building occupants to allow fire service personnel to

do their job safely when they arrive on the scene. But our drive to protect doesn’t stop there.

We want to help make sure the people who install these life saving systems are safer during

installation. That’s why we created the new 3M™ Fire Barrier Duct Wrap 615 series. Unlike

traditional refractory ceramic fibers used in most common fire barrier wraps, these unique

wraps are created with man-made vitreous spun fibers. This gives them lower biopersistence1

and allows them to perform up to 2192˚F (1200˚C), which means you can help protect both

the people who build the structures as well as those who

inhabit and protect them later.

3M™ Fire Barrier Wraps 15A & 20A Series These mold resistant2, non-asbestos fire resistance wraps are a stitched, patented inorganic

blanket encapsulated with scrim-reinforced foil. The result is an extremely flexible wrap with

high strength which can help increase productivity. Insulation properties protect combustible

construction at zero clearance throughout the entire closure system, providing an alternative,

“outside the box” solution to a 2-hour rated fire-resistance gypsum shaft enclosure.
