Transcript of Things to Know About Mrs. Wintring’s First Grade Class! Kyrene de la Mariposa 2014-2015.
Meet Mrs. Wintring• Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! I am so excited to start my fourth year at
Mariposa in first grade. Originally from upstate New York, I moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2000 where I received my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Education from A.S.U.
• My first three years of teaching I taught second grade at the Murphy School district in Phoenix and then taught first grade and 1/2 multiage at Kyrene del Milenio for three more years.
• In 2006 I had my daughter Cora and decided to stay home with her. My husband Cliff, Cora and I then moved to Flagstaff, AZ and in 2008 my son Jacob was born.
• After four years we moved back to Phoenix and I resumed teaching and taught first grade at Mariposa the last three years. Cora is in 3rd grade at Milenio and Jacob is in 1st grade.
• Other than teaching you can find me mountain biking, hiking, swimming with my kids, and enjoying South Mountain. I look forward to getting to know all of our new first graders!
