For my music video, I need one, male actor. I have chosen a close friend that I can rely on, and when I asked him to help me out with this project he agreed, knowing that it will take quite a long time and I may need to

re-film multiple times. Taking all of this into consideration, he also agreed not to change anything about his hair or any other aspects of his

appearance for the space of time I will be filming.

My filming will all be done indoors so time and weather will not affect my video majorly however, it is important that my actor doesn’t wear a watch as it would give away the time difference between cuts and

ruin the continuity of my video. When I am filming my actor, I will need a plain black background so anything (such as a clock) on the

walls will be removed. The curtains will have to be shut for both performance and stop motion sections of my filming so that daylight

does not affect my video.

In order to appeal to my target audience and create an appropriate mise-en-scene for the genre and film of my music video, the outfit choice of my actor is very important. I would like my actor to wear

a paisley shirt, maybe a smart jacket or coat and light coloured trousers so he doesn’t blend into the black background.

When my actor is performing I would like it to look as if he is singing the words and playing the guitar for the song. He needs to know the

lyrics and understand the guitar in the song so he knows how to move his hands and sing to the song. Everything should be in time

for it to look realistic so I could play the song to him through headphones on an ipod, hidden on him somewhere.
