God Has Forever Settled• WHAT TO PREACH:• Mk. 16:15- “go into all the world and preach the

gospel…”• 1 Cor. 15:1-4- “ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you

the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

What To Preach• 2 Tim. 4:1-4- I charge thee therefore before God,

and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

What To Preach Gal 1:6-9- I marvel that ye are so soon removed

from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

It Is Settled What Constitutes Sin• 1 Jn 3:4- “whoever commits sin, transgresses the law, sin is

transgression of law.”• 1 Jn. 5:17- “all unrighteousness is sin…”• Rom. 14:23- “…whatever is not of faith is sin.”• James 4:17- “he that knows to do good and does it not, to

him it is sin.”• 1 Cor 6:9-11- Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not

inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The Remedy For Sin Is Settled• Mt. 26:28- “for this is my blood of the new

testament, which is shed for many for remission of sins.”

• Rom. 5:8-9- “God commends His love to us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath to come.”

• 1 Pet. 1:18-20- “you are not redeemed by corruptible things…but by the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot, who was verily ordained before the foundation of the world, but is manifest in these last times for you.”

God’s Plan of Salvation• Hear, believe and confess- Romans 10:9,10,17- “ That

if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Faith comes by hearing the word.

• Believe & be baptized- Mk. 16:16- “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved.”

• Repent & be baptized- Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21 • This is not multiple choice. You must do all of what

God says in order to please Him (James 2:10- if keep whole law yet offend in one point-- guilty of all).

The Remedy For Sin

Rom 6:3-5- Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Christian Conduct Is Settled In Heaven• Phil. 1:27- “only let your conversation

(conduct of life), be that which becometh the gospel of Christ.”

• Titus 2:12- “denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world.” See Gal. 5:19-22

• 1 Thess. 5:22- “abstain from all appearance of evil” See Psalm 1

Christian Conduct- Settled in Heaven

• 1 Peter 4:3-4- “For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

• Do not go back to what you left. Stay as far away from it as possible. It leads to death (spiritually and physically).

Acceptable Worship Is Settled• John 4:23,24- “But the hour cometh, and now is,

when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

• Acts 2:42- “ And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

• Acts 20:7- Lord’s supper every first day of the week. • Eph. 5:19- one of 9 times singing is mentioned in NT• “speaking to yourselves in psalms, hymns, and

spiritual songs singing and making melody in heart…”

The Work Of The Church- Settled1 Tim. 3:15- But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou

oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1 Tim 5:16- If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

Eph 3:10-11-To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Eph 4:12- For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Phil 4:15-16 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

Marriage-Divorce- Remarriage: SettledMalachi 2:16- For the Lord, the God of Israel,

saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

Matt 5:32- But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

MDR- Settled In HeavenMatt 19:3-9-The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him,

and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Other Things Settled In Heaven

• Who will be in heaven- Mt. 7:21- “not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father.” Only the Obedient.

• Who will be in hell- Rev. 21:8- “the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

Let Us Always Respect-Finality Of Truth.Hebrews 1:1-2- God, who at sundry times and in divers

manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

• Hebrews 12:25- See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Moses spoke from earth and they believed him, how much more should we believe Christ.

• Jesus Is Heaven’s last argument to mankind.
