Being W.E.L.L. A Note from Johnny… Several years ago, a popular songwriter and singer, John Denver, wrote these words: “Yes it’s good to be back home again.” When I arrived back in Dothan the other day these words came to my mind, because it sure is good to be back home again. ere are so many things the Lord taught me while I was away; many things about myself, my walk with the Lord and others. Every time the Lord shared a truth with me, it always brought about reflection, repentance and restoration. ank you for allowing me to spend this time away to get recharged physically, emotionally and spiritually. I must add one more area of recharging and that was in the area of my relationship with my dear wife, Debbie. It was so good to spend time talking with just her and being with her. I must add another “thank-you” to this note. I thank all of the great men of God who shared with you the Word of God in my absence. I could not go away unless I knew the Word was going to be proclaimed during our Sunday gathering times. Now for the work at hand! WIRED, mission trips, sports camps, and children’s camps are active and well. I’ve heard great stories about WIRED week and how many lives were changed by the power of Christ. I am involved in a sports camp in our FLC. We are having 20 plus 1st-5th grade boys learn about the fundamentals of basketball and life. I am sure the reports from the mission team, the up-coming sports and children’s camp will bless our hearts. I tell you church, investing in Kingdom work is the work of the church. I thank you for all you do to reach and impact lives for the Kingdom of God. I look forward to sharing a word from His Word this Sunday. I really urge you to be present Sunday evening as I share a message on the topic of “Impacting Your Marriage.” I promise this will inspire your marriage and also help you understand how to pray for your spouse.
