Thief River Falls Area Community Theater Presents

Brianna Helm Asst./Music Director

By Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt
Welcome to The Fantasticks! I know you’ll love it as much as I do, because
it truly has something for everyone. I first saw this musical when I was in
junior high and immediately fell in love with the romance of "Soon It's
Gonna Rain." Several years later, I played Bellomy in a college production.
As a student of theatre, I was impressed and charmed by the inventive
style of the show and the way it plays with theatrical convention. A decade
later, I directed it in the Twin Cities; as a newlywed, I appreciated the
maturity and complexity of the story’s message about love and
relationships. Now another six years have passed – and this time, I’m a
mom. What strikes me now is the deeper truth in the sweet silliness of the
relationship between the fathers and their children. Whatever moment of
life you’re in, I know you’ll find yourself in the story this hardworking cast
and crew is about to present – enjoy!
