    !  The$whole$area$is$under$the$mandate$of$FA/MAFF$since$1994.$

    !  Sub_decree$143$(2009)$confirms$this$mandate$and$makes$carbon$emission$reduc5ons$an$explicit$objec5ve$

    !  Project$credi5ng$period$_$60$years,$1$Jan.$2010_31$Dec.$2069.$

    !  FA$has$agreement$with$all$20$communi5es$that$the$state$owns$the$carbon,$that$FA$can$sell$the$credits,$and$FA$will$set$up$a$benefit_sharing$arrangement.$

  • Respect$for$community$rights$Free$Prior$and$Informed$Consent$$(FPIC)$

    $All$20$communi5es$have$given$detailed$wriden$consent$for$a$start$date$in$Jan$2010$aeer$long$process$of$informa5on$and$consulta5on.$$Final$documents$signed$by$all$2,624$families$in$January$2013.$$Involuntary$reloca;on$

    $There$will$be$no$involuntary$reloca5on$from$residen5al$land$or$farmland$for$people$who$are$legally$occupying$these$areas.$$$

    The$project$is$of$the$“Avoiding$unplanned$deforesta5on$and$degrada5on”$(AUD)$type.$$

    The$project$is$only$claiming$credits$generated$from$avoided!unplanned!deforesta.on.$$$Planned'deforesta-on'from$planta5ons$or$similar$are$illegal$under$the$Sub_decree,$and$are$not$considered.$$Increased$carbon$sequestra5on$from$reforesta5on$is$not$a$major$objec5ve.$$
