Guests can find more balance between their body, mind and spirit using our traditional Bhutanese spa treatments, without any extra costs. They can enjoy the benefits of a consultation by one of our traditional Bhutanese medicine doctors, traditional massages and herbal treatments, yoga, meditation, hot stone baths and forest bathing.

We are the perfect choice for travellers seeking the essence of Bhutan.

Guests can avoid long car drives or the need to change accommodation, and still get the most of their Bhutan discovery journey. We can arrange hikes in the Neyphu valley, a visit to Thimphu and Paro, a climb to the Tiger’s Nest and many other day trips.

We are the best location to enjoy outstanding culinary surprises.

Guests can enjoy a healthy breakfast, a 4-course lunch, a 6-course dinner, all snacks and drinks (excluding alcohol) at no extra costs. All food is prepared according to the farm-to-table concept by our Bhutanese Executive Chef, who is praised as one of the best in Bhutan. Guests can enjoy their meals at any moment and at any location they wish.

Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary - Rates & Policies 2022

The rates are subject to 10% Bhutan Sales Tax and 10% Service Charge.

The rates are inclusive of all food and drinks (excluding alcohol), free access to all spa services and facilities, laundry service and all activities in the Sanctuary and the Neyphu valley.

The rates are exclusive of the mandatory Minimum Daily Package (MDP), surcharge and visa fees.

An minimum deposit of 20% of the full amount is required within 14 days of the reservation being made in order to secure the reservation.

The balance is due 30 days before arrival to secure the booking.

Cancellation is possible up to 14 days before arrival. Clients can request a 100% refund.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival will incur full-charge.

Postponement is possible up to 7 days before arrival, with no charge. Rates will be adjusted according to the new arrival dates.

Postponements made less than 7 days before arrival, will incur a charge of 10% of the full amount. Rates will be adjusted according to the new arrival dates.

Cancellations or postponements will only be accepted in written form via [email protected].

In case of no-show, full-charge will incur, and any payments made are non-refundable.

Infants of 3 years and younger can reside with their parents in their room free of charge.

Children between 4-11 years of age require an additional fee of US$ 100, subject to 10% Bhutan Sales Tax and 10% Service Charge, per night.

Children of 12 years and older require an additional fee of US$ 250, subject to 10% Bhutan Sales Tax and 10% Service Charge, per night.


There is a possibility to place one extra bed in the Balcony room and two extra beds in the Terrace room.

An extra person requires an additional fee of US$ 250, subject to 10% Bhutan Sales Tax and 10% Service Charge, per night.

An extra person/bed in the room must be confirmed with our reservations/ booking department at the time of the initial reservation.


Online payments can be made with a credit card via a secured online payment link.

Payments by credit card: Visa/MasterCard/JCB.

Bank transfer: the Sanctuary has both Ngultrum and Dollar accounts.

Kindly note the party’s name, date of arrival and booking travel agent’s name on the bank/wire transfer in the message field. Overseas wire transfer charges (about US$ 25 per transaction) must be shouldered by the clients. Only the local bank charges will be borne by the Sanctuary.

Payments in cash: USD/EUR/GBP/IND/BTN.

Full payment should be received at the latest 30 days before arrival.
