God has protected us all along the way from coast to coast. He has given us great churches and pastors with hearts for missions. We have also been reunited with many friends, family, and prayer warriors. We have had an incredible time reporting to these churches what God is doing in Kasese, Uganda. In our meetings, some people have been saved and there are some who are surrendering their lives to serve the Lord. Churches have been encouraged by what God is doing in Kasese, Uganda. God has amazingly answered our prayers as to several projects: the preparation for the mountain ministry, the preparation for building our new multi-purpose building, and the preparation for the translation of the New Testament into Lhukonzo. Please pray that God would give us wisdom as we return to Uganda to know His will, His direction, and His timing in each of these areas. Ebola! This terrible disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo still continues to wreak havoc on the border with Uganda. With over 3,000 cases, the death toll now stands at over 2,000 precious Congolese souls. Please pray for these affected families; that the epidemic will be stopped; and that this does not spill over into Uganda. Keila’s Recovery Keila continues to recover from her stroke. I tell people that she is “almost back to normal.” HaHa! Thank you all so much who have sent emails, cards, messages and even gifts to her. We could not have asked for a better prayer team! We could not have made it without you all. She has recently had some trouble from a rotator cuff issue, so please pray that this will be taken care of soon. Going Home We will be flying out from Kansas City on Tuesday, September 3. The Lord willing, we will arrive back in Uganda on Wednesday, the fourth, around midnight. Please pray that the flights and connections go well and that all the baggage makes it safe and sound. I had previously mentioned that my Residence Permit was approved. However, in July, I received an email from Uganda Immigration that it had been rescinded. Please pray that I will be able to get it sorted out with no difficulty. Also pray as we get settled back into life in Uganda. God has been so good to us this furlough. We truly have been overwhelmed by His goodness through so many churches and individuals. We came to America empty, but we are returning to Uganda full. To God be the Glory!! We will resume the “taking u 2 Uganda” videos once we return to Uganda.
