Ideal for:• Small ovens• Chillers• Sterilisers• Trace heating• Heat sealing
Product Description:Available in compact 1/32 and 1/16 DIN panel sizes, the 2100 series uses advanced PID algorithms to give stable ‘straightline’ temperature control. Self tuning is included to optimise the control performance without the need for specialist knowledge or trai-ning. A universal inputWallows selection of nine internally stored thermocouple types and the Pt100 resistance thermometer. Other input linearisations may be factory downloaded. Linear inputs can be scaled to the desired display range. Two outputs are confi-gurable for heating, cooling or alarms.Three internal alarm set-points are provided, configurable as high, low or deviation alarms. Alarms can be ‘blocked’ onstart-up to prevent unnecessary operator alerts. Heater failure can be detected when the control-ler is used with a TE10S Solid State Relay. Tactile button sensure positive operation. The operator interface can be customised to present only those parameters that an operator needs to see and adjust, while all other parameters are locked away under password protection.

The table shows that in practice you can calculate a loop resistance of up to approx. 10-50 Ohm. For semi-conduc-tors the cable resistance will have no importance, but for the resistance sensors, it will on many occations be necces-sary to balance the cable resistance using a third conductor, which makes a correction loop together with one of the main connections of the sensor element.
The cable of the thermo couple sensors can only be exten-ded by a compensation cable, i.e. a cable in same material as the thermo element. The cable junction is made by twisting the cleaned wires in equal material tightly to-gether and sliding a piece of insulation pipe over the junc-tion. Then the junc-tion is clamped in a terminal with thread protection.
Noice areasNormally you can say that the higher the resistance of the sensor element is, the less effected the measuring will be by inducing streams of wires close to the sensor cable. Even though, you ought to keep the sensor cable in appro-priate distance from high voltage cables and avoid parallel siting.
The resistance sensors Pt 100 and Ni 100 and the thermo element sensors are more sensitive to noice and are there-fore delivered with a steel screen, which must be earth con-nected at one end. On some occations the screen is left out by short sensor cables.
The noice sensitivity can be lowered some by using couple twisted wires for extention of the sensor cable.
Remember!Due to touch safety, all sensors must be installed as high voltage conductive mounting parts.
ExampleThe thermostat EWTC 102 PTC DP is stated to have an accuracy of ± 1ºC and solution 0.1ºC.The sensor is connected by 35 m cable 2 × 0.5 mm2.Information is required concerning which influence this has on the regulation accuracy.
35 m 2 × 0.5 mm2 cable has the loop resistance 0.35 × 7.02 Ohm = 2.36 Ohm.
From the resistance characteristics on top of next page you can se that 1 kOhm corresponds to a temperature change from -18 to +100ºC, totally 118ºC. The sensor cable increases the total resi-stance in the circuit so that the display and thus the release point of the thermostat are moved upwards by:
2.46 × 118 1000 C = 0.29ºC
in relation to the actual sensor temperature. The thermostat must be adjusted to show approx. 0.3ºC less and following the accuracy will be ±1ºC again.

Triac controller for electric heating, single phase or two phase.
PULSER is an electric heating controller for controllingelectric heating batteries, electric panels etc. Thecontroller can be connected to single phase or two phasevoltage, 210...415 V.
Short facts about PULSER• Complete electric heating controller with built-in sensor
and setpoint adjustment.• External sensor and external setpoint can be connected.• Control function adapts automatically, using PI for supply
air control and P for room control.• For loads up to 3.6kW (230 V) or 6.4kW (400 V).• Automatic adaption to connected supply voltage
210...415 V.• Adjustable night set-back, 0...10K.
PULSER is an electric heating controller with triac control for single phase or two phase electric heating.Intended primarily for wall mounting, it is connected in series between a power supply and electric heater; such as an electric heating battery or electric panel.PULSER has a built-in temperature controller featuring external sensor input, where the sensor can for instance be mounted in a room or a supply-air duct. For control of room temperature, the on-board sensor built into PULSER may be used. The controller uses time-proportional control, where the On-time and Off-time ratio is varied to fit the prevailing heating requirement. E.g. ON = 30 s and OFF = 30 s gives 50% output power. The cycle-time (ie: combined on-/ off-time) is fixed at approx. 60s.This contributes to greater energy savings and to the incre-ased comfort that an even temperature brings with it. Since the current is switched by semiconductor (triac), there are no moving parts that can wear out. Network disturbances are also eliminated, as the current is switched at a zero phase angle.PULSER automatically adapts its control mode to suit the dynamics of the controlled object.
Supply air temperature controlFor rapid temperature changes, PULSER will function as a PI con-troller. The P band is 20 K and the I-time 6 min.
Room temperature controlFor slow temperature changes, PULSER will work as a P controller with a fixed proportional band of 2K.
Night set-backUsing an external time switch, PULSER can provide an adjustable night set-back. When closing the time-switch contact, the setpoint is lowered by the set value, 0...10K.
Controlling larger electrical outputsWhen the electric battery or heater is larger than the capacity of PULSER, the load can be split and controlled by PULSER in com-bination with the ancillary unit PULSER-ADD (see separate leaflet.)
Min/max adjustmentWhen min/max limiting of supply air temp. is required, use PUL-SER-M.

PULSER/D is an electric heating controller for controlling electric heating batteries, electric panels etc.The controller can be connected to single phase or two phase 210 ... 415 V AC.
• PULSER/D is intended for DIN-rail mounting in a cabinet.• For loads up to 3.6kW (230 V) or 6.4kW (400 V).• Automatic adaption of control function, P or PI-control.• Automatic adaption for supply voltage 200 - 415 V.• Night set-back 5K.
FunctionPULSER/D is an electric heating controller (triac control) for single phase or two phase (200 - 415 V) electric heating. It is intended primarily for DIN-rail mounting in a cabinet and is connected in series between power supply and an electric heater, for example an electric heating battery or electric panel.PULSER/D has a built-in temperature controller with input for a sensor placed in a supply-air duct or in a room, for example.
FunctionThe controller pulses the entire power output ON/OFF.The controller utilises time-proportional control, the ratio between On-time and Off-time is varied to fit the prevailing heating requirement e.g. ON = 30 s and OFF = 30 s gives 50% output power. The cycle-time (the sum of on-time and off-time) is fixed at approximately 60 seconds. This control accuracy contributes to reduced energy costs and to the increased comfort of an even temperature.Since the current is switched by a semiconductor (triac) there are no moving parts that can wear out. The current is switc-hed at zero phase angle, to eliminate network disturbance. PULSER/D automatically adapts control mode to suit the dynamics of the controlled object.
Supply air temperature controlFor rapid temperature changes, PULSER/D will work as a PI-controller with a fixed proportional band of 20K and a fixed reset time of 6 minutes.
Room temperature controlFor slow temperature changes PULSER/D will work as a P-controller with a fixed proportional band of 2K.
Night set-backPULSER/D can provide night set-back via an external time switch. On closure of the time-switch contact the PULSER set-point is lowered by 5 K.
Controlling larger electric heatersWhen the electric heater is larger than the capacity of PULSER/D the load can be split and controlled by
PULSER/D in combination with the ancillary unit PULSER-ADD, see separate leaflet.
Minimum or maximum limit controlWhen minimum or maximum limiting of the supply air temperature is required use PULSER-M.
Application exampleTo control electric heaters in airconditioning orventilation systems for individual room temperaturecontrol. A duct heater controlled by a PULSER/Dwith the sensor in the room or in the duct easilyprovides the exact temperature required.

3-phase controller for electric heating,230 or 400 V / 25 ATTC2000 is a 3-phase controller intended for timeproportionalcontrol of electric heaters, radiators, etc.The controller is capable of controlling both D- andY-connected loads.• Automatic adaptation to connected 230 or 400V supply
voltage• PI-control for supply air control and P-control for room
control• Can be controlled with external 0...10V control signal• For wall mounting• Settable min. and max. limitation• Adjustable cycle time
TTC2000 is a 3-phase triac controller for control of electric heaters. The device is connected in series between the po-wer supply and an electric heater or radiator. TTC2000 has a temperature controller with inputs for sensors placed, for instance, in a supply air duct or room. It can also be controlled using an external control signal. The controller utilises stepless, time-proportional control.I.e.: the ratio between on-time and off-time is varied in order to fit the present heating requirement.Example: A controller output of 50 % will equal an on-time of 30 s and an off-time of 30 s if the cycle time is 60 s The cycle time is adjustable 6...120 s.Triac control is considerably more accurate than on/off con-trol, meaning increased heating comfort and lowered energy costs.TTC2000 has a built-in function for automatically adaptating the control mode as needed:
Supply air controlFor rapid temperature changes, the supply air controller will function as a PI-controller. The P-band will be 20K with an I-time of 6 minutes.
Room temperature controlFor slower temperature changes, the room controller will function as a P-controller. The P-band will be 1.5K. The supply air controller will retain the same settings as be-fore. During room temperature control, the supply air tempe-rature can be provided with a min. or max. limitation.
Control of larger loadsIn cases where the electric heater is larger than the capacity of TTC2000, the unit can be combined with an ancillary TT-S1 board (see below). The load can also be divided and controlled by use of a TT-S4/D or TT-S6/D step controller in combination with the TTC2000. Slave control of one or more TTC25X / TTC40FX units via the TTC2000 is also possible.
TT-S1 The power handling capacity can be increased by anadditional 25 A by use of the TT-S1 relay control board. When used, TT-S1 will control the electric power output via a con-tactor. For best control, the two part loads must be of equal size, e.g. 25 A max.For wiring diagram and more information, see instructionsfor TT-S1.
External control signalTTC2000 can also be run against a 0...10 V DC control signal from another controller. 0 V input signal will give 0 % output and 10 V input will give 100 % output. Minimum and maximum limit functions are not active when using an external control signal.

Installation:ETO2 thermostat installation: DIN-rail mounting in electrical cabinet, mounting box, or on a wall surface.
ETOG ground sensor installation: Should be installed where the worst snow and ice problems normally occur. The sensor should be embedded in a concrete base on a hard surface with the top of the sensor flush with the surface.Where an asphalt surface is used, or where easy installation is desired, installing ETOG-56 together with ETOK-1 is the obvious choice.
ETOR gutter sensor installation: Should be installed in the gutter or down pipe on the sunny side of the building. The sensor contact point must be aligned in the direc-tion of the melt-water flow. Where necessary, two sensors can be connected in parallel.
ETF outdoor temperature sensor installation: Should be installed beneath the leaves on the northern side of the building.

Energy-efficient control of ice and snow melting
An intelligent all-in-one solution for ice and snow melting suitable for any application which uses hydronic or electric heating. Optimal operation is ensured through output control, making the system both effective and economical. ETO2 offers the possibi-lity of snow melting - the green way.
• Electronic on/off control of up to 11kW• Two-zone control, individually controlled• Economical control - minimized energy consumption• Adjustable moisture sensitivity• Display and selector knob for easy programming• Control of hydronic or electric ice and snow melting systems• Several language options
We cannot change the weather - but we can control the conse-quences.
The ETO2 controller has been developped for ice and snow melting on the ground and in gutters.Using readings from temperature and moisture sensors, the con-troller ensures economical control of power consumption while keeping outdoor areas and roofs free of ice and snow. The mois-ture sensor should be installed in the ground surface or placed in the gutter. As soon as moisture is detected in conjunction with low temperature, the ETO2 controller activates the snow-melting system.Once the sensor has dried out, the thermostat immediately goes into afterrun and the system continues to provide heat for a set time.
Thermostat functionsEnsuring minimal energy consumption:The snow melting system is only energized when the out-door temperature drops below the selected setting and snow or ice is detected by the sensors. Energy is thus only used when absolutely needed.
For gutters - ETO2-4550, ETOR-55 and ETF-744/99The ETOR sensor is designed for installation in gutters, downpipes, etc. ETOR sensors detect moisture, while ETF sensors measure temperature.
For outdoor surfaces - ETO2-4550, ETOG-55 and ETOG-56/ETOK-1The ETOG sensor is designed for embedding in the surface of the outdoor area. ETOG sensors measure ground tem-perature and moisture. The ETF-744/99 sensor can be used for measuring rapid temperature drops.
Remote control: It is possible to control the ETO2 via an external signal (day/week timer, GSM module or other signal source). The ETO2 can be switched on/off (standby) and the system can be temporarily forced to provide heat during the period of time set in the afterrun menu.
Sensors:ETOG Ground sensor:Designed for embedding into the surface of the outdoor area. Measures temperature and moisture.Up to two ETOG sensors can be installed.
ETOR Gutter sensor:Designed for installation in gutters, down pipes etc. Measures moisture only. Should be installed in combination with an ETF outdoor temperature sensor. Up to two ETOR sensors can be installed. ETF Outdoor temperature sensor:Measures temperature. Is normally used in combina-tion with ETOR gutter sensor, but can also be used separately for temperature measurement only.An ETF sensor can also be used in combination with ETOG ground sensors for outdoor areas The ETF sensor can detect rapid drops in air temperature, thus avoiding icy areas.
