The reasons why I entered Public Health

To give you a brief information, I have just graduated from my university

which is Diponegoro University, Semarang. Although , I have finished my

undergraduate thesis in December 2014, I plan to graduate in October 2015 . In

order to have enough time to prepare myself before facing competions such a

jobseeker. In other words,I have worked while I am waiting for my graduation

ceremony. In Public Health faculty which I went to,there are 7 departements such

as Biostatistics,Epidemiology,Health Administration,Environmental Health,Public

Health Nutrition and Occupational Health Safety. In spite of other universities that

have the same faculty like Diponegoro does,In my batch from the first to the fifth

semester we are taught about Public Health in general so 7 departements is the

curriculum. Then , we entered the sixth semester and above we are divides into 7

departements .

To conclude there are five reason why I choose Public Health . Firstly, it’s

because of the general knowledge of Public Health instead of being specific. We

graduated as Public Health bachelors degree and the title is not because of what

is our specialization, so I couldn’t agree more to the curriculum. Secondly, I am

passionate when it comes to the anatomy of human body including the flow and

the process that is happening everyday in our body. Thirdly, I love to

communicate with people especially when they are friendly and cooperative

which are easier to encourage to live a healthier lifestyle. Then, I maintain that

health is one of the sustainable development. Therefore, people can’t live their

live happily,do for a living without being healthy. That is why healthy environment

and safety job is a basic necessity. Last but not least,my dream is I want to give

more effect to Indonesia than I used to. That will also include my family and my

loved ones. So,in order to achieve that, I would welcome the chance to work as

part of a small,dynamic team where I could make a significant contribution while

developing my skills yet further.
