NCAA Division I -Eligibility Requirements

HS Coursework, ACT, and GPA

HS Coursework4 years of English

3 years of Math (Alg I & higher)2 years of Science

1 additional year of an English, Math or Science4 additional years of any combination of English, Math, Science, Foreign Lang., philosophy/religion

HS GPA & ACT Requirement

The ACT score required for Division I is based on your GPA. (See Mrs. Jones in SCC for scale)For example, with a 3.0 GPA you would need at least a 52 sum of ACT scores (GPA is figured on NCAA required HS courses only).

Eligibility Requirements for NAIA Schools

Graduate from an accredited high school

& Meet two (2) of the following

requirements:►Score minimum of 18 on the ACT (composite score)► 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)► Graduate in top 50% of your high school class

How do I register?First, determine which governing association you will need to register with (NCAA/NAIA) according to your sport and college preference(s).For NCAA – ► Plan HS course selections according to NCAA eligibility requirements► Go to www.ncaaeligibilitycenter.com and register by end of Semester 1 of Senior year.► Come to SCC office to request transcript sent to NCAA.► Continue to be aware of your GPA each semester and improve your ACT► Use code “9999” to have ACT scores sent directly to NCAA
