May we introduce Chef Dan Hawkins. Executive Chef at both The Prince Hotel and Mitchelton Winery, Dan brings to the table a breadth ofexperience from some of Melbourne’s most notable dining institutions including Circa, Stokehouse and Longrain. Dan’s personal food ethos centres on sustainable, seasonal produce where provenance is key. Dan’s personal relationships with local farmers, growers and purveyors allows him to hand select the best ingredients available. Together, Dan and his team will work with you to develop a menu you’ll continue to yearn for long after dessert has been served.

Our resident sommelier, Laurent Rospars, was born and raised in France though his love of food and wine has taken him to almost every corner of the globe. With 30 years experience in the hospitality business and a plethora of Wine List awards to his name, Laurent’s passion for the intricacies of viticulture will ensure your drinks list is fit for a royal celebration.

With panoramas of Port Phillip Bay in one direction and the Melbourne city skyline in the other, the leafy expanse of the Prince Deck is a beautiful and extremely private space to share your nuptials.
Refurbished in late 2018, the venue boasts new timber decking, a louvred pergola and designer furniture including Italian chairs, timber side tables and a custom Italian Marble bar.
A ceremony fee of $1500 applies. This includes setup, carpet aisle, 50 chairs, a signing table and still and sparkling water.

All wedding bookings include one night complimentary accommodation for the wedding couple and access to special accommodation rates for your guests.

Venue AccessVenue access is permitted 2 hours prior to event start time for set up for band/DJ, AV equipment and flowers/decorations. If the space is free during the day then an earlier time may be arranged.
ParkingThere is a 300 space carpark at the rear of The Prince Hotel which operates 24 hours a day. Guests enter via Jackson Street. Spaces cannot be reserved, the car park operates as a separate business and charges apply. Pre paid parking tickets available on request.
Wheelchair AccessThere is wheelchair access to Prince Deck on the 2nd level of the carpark through the door to Aurora Spa Retreat.
Noise RestrictionsDue to the operation of Aurora SpaRetreat within The Prince Hotel complex, all events must adhere to the following noise restrictions: Monday to Sunday 9am - 7pm, background music only. We request that no amplified live music be played during these times.
DeliveriesDeliveries must be clearly marked and directed to the events department.Unfortunately we have insufficient storage available in the venue so all equipment must be taken with you on conclusion of the wedding unless previously arranged.
Linen, Decorations & FlowersHire of Prince Deck includes white table linen and charcoal napkins for your event. Flowers and other decorations are not included and are to be arranged for each event at your own cost. Please refer to our preferred supplier list for recommended contacts and ideas.
CeremoniesPrince Deck is available for weddingceremonies from 5pm at a cost of $1500.Fee includes room hire, a carpet runner, chairs, registry table, setup and staffing for the duration of the ceremony.
Audio VisualPrince Deck has an in-house PAsystem with personal music playerconnection plus a complimentary wireless microphone for your use. Please advise your event coordinator if you wish to have access to this equipment.

As partners of The Prince, both Aurora and Bobby Collins havegraciously offered our wedding guestsprefered rates for spa and beautytreatments in the lead up to the big day and hair styling for your main event.

Confirmation and PaymentTo secure your reservation a 30% non refundable deposit of the minimum spend requirement and a signed bookingagreement is required. Final food and beverage selections are required at least 14 days prior to your event. Final numbers are required 7 days prior to the event and pre-payment of the final account isrequired 72 hours prior to the event.
