Bellwork: Take Notes

Tie: The tie combines the durational values of two or more notes of the same pitch using a curved line.

Consonant intervals are pleasing to the ear.

Dissonant intervals are not pleasing to the ear.

Dot: A dot extends the value of a single note by one-half of its original value.

Breve: A note that is twice as long as a whole note: 8 beats. Here’s what it looks like:
