Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings to you in the precious name of the Great Physician, Jesus Christ our Lord!
ndThe 2 Sunday in February is always observed as Healing Ministry Sunday. This is the time when we remember our Doctors, Nurses, Para Medical Professionals, and all who work in the Hospitals, in a special way. We give thanks to God for their services and sacrifices.
The themes for this month given in the CSI Almanac, also lead us towards the understanding of healing. Healing should be understood as a 'whole' i.e., physical, spiritual, emotional, social and psychological. God is the source of all healing, and He uses those who are in the Healing Ministry as His Instruments. When healing is experienced in one's life, one is led to praise and thank God for the help and healing that they have received.
Healing is not only needed for our physical body, but also to our mind and spirit - healing of the mind and spirit is as important as physical healing. This includes our relationship with our fellow human beings as well. We have to set right our distorted relationship with God, and our strained relationship with one another; only then would we experience 'Spiritual Reconciliation'. Forgiveness gives us peace and this peace within us, leads to peace with God and our fellow human beings. Remember, our Lord taught us to pray saying, 'Forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us'. When we come to God pleading for forgiveness, he sees our heart and our attitude, and forgives us.
Let us praise and thank God, especially when we overcome hurdles in life including the need for healing, both physical and spiritual, and let the 'rhythm of life' continue. St. Paul says in his letter to the Ephesians (5: 18-20) ' …be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...’ May God bless us all!

An update on Guitar Classes
St Andrews School of Music has now completed 6 months of music classes on Violin, Cello, Guitar and Keyboards. This month we are giving a brief update on Guitar Classes being conducted by Mr Sujan Pal.
The Guitar students are taught with notations and it also includes basic vocal training. They are capable of reading the notations and singing along, while playing the Guitar. With dedication and hard work put into practicing the lessons, these students have shown progress since the beginning of this course. They also had performed during the Musical Evening on Sunday 18th December 2016. Currently, Karen Danita , Isaac , Rebecca, Sam Rowan and Aiden Philip are learning the Guitar.

It was high voltage singing during the “Stuthi Sanje”, the Kannada Musical Evening, at our church on 29th Jan 2017. Three Kannada Choir Groups from far flung regions around Bengaluru, CSI Bethany Church, Channapatna, CSI Christ Church, Chikkaballapur and CSI Christha Prabhalaya Yelahanka, were gracious enough to come all the way and sing for Stuthi Sanje at St. Andrew’s Church each for the first time! Apart from the good quality of singing, what stood out was the enthusiasm and energy of their singing.

A very proud moment for St. Andrew’s School, Siddapura, when one of our students Sreelalitha K of Class 7 was awarded the Best Student Award in whole of Bangalore South.
She has been a student of St. Andrew’s School, Siddapura, from Nursery. This great achievement is no less than a miracle and testament of God’s healing power.
Sreelalitha, born on February 15th, 2005 to Krishnamuthy, an Auto Driver, and Umadevi, a Home-maker, at the tender age of 4 years was diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Moyamoya Disease in which certain arteries in the brain get constricted thus effecting the blood flow to the brain. She developed high blood preasure and would frequently lose control of her limbs. Her humble and anxious family watched her undergo a complex brain surgery.
KUDOS to St. Andrew’s School, Siddapura
As she was recovering from this strenuous ordeal, she was further diagnosed with Enlarged Tonsils and had to undergo another operation for the same. All this while she continued with her studies at the school and kept up good grades. Sreelalitha has been advised to undergo a Kidney Transplant in the near future. We urge you to keep this precious child and her family in your prayers, and wish for her medial ordeals to get over soon, that she may be healthy and able to pursue her studies without much health complications.
We Congratulate our School Principal Mrs. Indira Bai for being elected as the Vice-President of all Government Aided Schools for Bangalore South. May God bless her in all her endeavors.

“"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."“ - Luke 2:14 (NIV)
It was indeed a joyous occasion on the 18th of December 2016, when few of our church members along with our Pastor Rev. Jessie Ranjan, celebrated Christmas with the members of Tubagare Mission Field. Evangelist Sampath Naik, along with the youth, led the congregation in Praise and Worship, and our Pastor delivered a very meaningful message. It was a blessed Christmas Worship Service.
Children around 60 in number were very happy to receive the Christmas gifts. All the members enjoyed the Christmas snacks.
Our deep appreciation and thanks to each one of you for your prayers and regular contribution towards the work of Mission and Evangelism. We request you to kindly uphold this Outreach Ministry of our church in your daily family prayers.
Thank you and stay blessed.
