 before running back to their groups to tell a person

to write down information on some paper. The

winner is the group with the most correct

information.

Rules:

  Take turns to run.

  Do not take notes

  Have only 5 minutes for a whole game.

TM2: DVD script

A DVD script: Spaghett Bolognaise 

Cook Spagetti noodle1. Use a large container to boil water.

2. Add 2 – 3 teaspoons of salt. Boil the water, then put the spaghetti into the

 boiling water.

3. Stir so that the spaghetti will not stick to each other. Boil for about 20 minutes.

4. After 20 minutes, pick one spaghetti and pinch to see if it is soft or still hard. If

it is still hard, continue boiling and if it is cooked, then pour cold water into the container

in order to avoid over cooking and also to prevent the spaghetti from sticking to each

other.

Cook Spagetti sauce1. At the same time heat the pan. Add the butter and olive oil to the pan. Use

small flame. Add finely chopped garlic and onions. Let them simmer in a low fire for 2

minutes, then add the mushroom.

2. After another 2 minutes, take the pan off the fire and pour the contents into a

 plate and set aside. Continue to heat the pan and add 2 – 3 tablespoons of olive oil, fry

the minced pork. If there is too much water in the pan, pour some water out.

3. The meat should be cooked in about 10-15 minutes and put it aside.

4. Now we pot the cooked garlic, onions and mushroom into the pan. Use low

fire. Add the finely sliced tomatoes and let them simmer for 1-2 minutes.

5. Then add the canned tomato sauce, bay leaf, thyme powder, coriander or

oregano.6. Stir them together and finally add the cooked meat. Stir and simmer for another

2 –3 minutes.

Serve Spagetti Spaghett BolognaiseWhen it is ready, use a plate to put the cooked spaghetti on, then pour the meat

sauce on to of the s a hetti and s rinkle some armesan cheese as well as the arsle on

3 fresh tomatoes

2-3 mushrooms

CW1—Spaghetti Bolognaise

How do cook Spaghetti Bolognaise?Part I

 Instructions: Listen and watch the DVD. Then circle the correct verbs in the brackets. 

Cook Spaghetti noodle1. Use a large container to (boil/put) water.

2. (Add/Splash) 2 – 3 teaspoons of salt. Boil the water until boiling point, then put the

spaghetti into the boiling water.

3. (Stir/Start) so that the spaghetti will not stick to each other. Boil for about 20

minutes.

4. After 20 minutes, (slice/pick) one spaghetti and pinch if it is soft or still hard. If it

is still hard continue boiling and if it is cooked, then (pour/put) cold water into the container

in order to (stop/stand ) the temperature from rising and also to avoid the spaghetti from

sticking to each other.

Cook Spaghetti sauce1. Meanwhile (heat/clean) the pan. Add the butter and olive oil in the pan and (pass/

add) the finely chopped garlic and onions. Let them simmer in a low fire for 2 minutes, then

(snatch/add) the mushroom.

2. After another 2 minutes, (take/make) the pan off the fire and (pour/put) the content

into a plate and set aside. Continue to heat the pan and (add/mix) 2 – 3 tablespoons of olive

oil. (Cut up/Fry) the minced pork, if there is too much water in the pan, throw some water

away.

3. The meat should be (cooked/looked) in about 10-15 minutes and put it aside.

4. Now we take the cooked garlic, onions and mushroom into the pan, (add/put) the

finely sliced tomatoes and let them simmer for 1-2 minutes.

5. Then (pass/add) the canned tomato sauce, bay leaf, thyme powder, coriander ororegano.

6. (Start/Stir) them together and finally add the cooked meat. Stir and simmer for

another 2 –3 minutes.

Serve Spaghetti BolognaiseWhen it is ready, use a plate to (put/cut) the cooked spaghetti, then (pour/put) the meat sauce

on top of the spaghetti and (sprinkle/spray) some parmesan cheese as well as the finely

chopped parsley on top of the meat sauce.

TM4—DVD script

Use a double boiler to bake the custard pudding and heat the water. Make sure that

the water is full in the container.

Boil the milk until boiling point. Crack 4 eggs into a big bowl, add suger and vanilla

extract. Stir evenly until the sugar is well distributed. Add the boiling milk into the

container and stir again.

Meanwhile prepare 3-4 custard pudding bowls. Butter the inside of the bowls. (Use

 brush). Then pour the custard pudding liquid into the bowls and leave them in the

double boiler for 15–20 minutes.

After twenty minutes, check if the upper layer is firm. If that is so, the custard

 pudding is cooked. Take them out of the double boiler, and keep them in the

refrigerator for 2 hours. Serve cold.

TM10—Procedure script for whispering game 

1.  We’re going to make hot tuna finger sandwiches.2.  You have to cut the edge off the bread.

3.  You have to toast the bread.

4.  Add a can of tuna in a mixing bowl.5.  Add a quarter of a cup of fresh onions.6.  Add half of a cup of mayonnaise.

7.  Add a quarter of a cup of tomatoes.

8.  Add a quarter of a cup of green fresh parsley.9.  Shake some salt and pepper into the bowl.10.  Combine that.

11.  Next, we need our eight slices of toast.

12.  We need to add our tuna mixture onto out four slices of toast.

Spread it over the slice.14.  Next we have to put a slice of cheese on the tuna.15.  Put four slices of the cheese on top of tuna mixture.16.  Put the sandwiches into the microwave for 20 seconds.

17.  Take it out of the microwave.

18.  Bring them over to the chopping board.

Part I

 Instructions: Watch the DVD. Then complete the dialogue by choosing the letter in front of

the correct statement.

Michael: Hi. Welcome to UBU Tea Time. Umm. Where today we’re going to

 Nit and Bond: Yes, hot tuna finger (laughing).

Bond: Hot tuna finger sandwiches.

Michael: Tuna. Good! OK. Right. The first thing… we need to do. The first thing we

•  In your own group, create a culinary creation of fusion food for tonight’scompetition to be held at Mill’s House. Try to incorporate your experience from

don’t want to. But try to do something “interesting” that will last for about 15 to
