1.1 Sustainable Construction

Priorities for the 2nd call

The priorities for the 2nd call of each region are as follows:

• Spain will fund exclusively projects under Inclusive Growth (third theme of the programme)

• For the UK: priority will be given to the sub-themes of the programme which have not yet been taken up but we will also consider other sub themes if funds are available

• For Italy: All themes will be considered

APPROVED PROJECT – FIRST CALL

Sub-theme social enterprise: “A model of entrepreneurship for the socially excluded”The term “social enterprise” has many interpretations throughout the EU member states. The partnership is Fundacion red andalucia Emprende, Enham and Form.Art.Soc.Cons.ARL.

The project has three main goals:- carry out an analysis of the social, territorial and labour environment, looking at

determining the factors leading to social exclusion, encouraging benchmarking and exchange of best practice between partner regions

- Development of a training and awareness programme for advisers and key stakeholders working with people at risk of social exclusion encouraging in particular entrepreneurship

- Provide recommendations and a good practice manual influencing Public Social Policies

The target group of the project is disadvantaged groups in UK, Spain and Italy.

Project Outline:

Develop a new framework and associated pilot project for reconciling the objectives of business growth and improved workforce flexibility with inclusive working practices and employee involvement through innovative forms of human resources management and work organisation.
