Networking Meeting
Thematic: innovative SME networks in emerging regions
Sevilla, Beja and Rzeszów are competitive locations for aerospace industries. In common they share the availability of significant aviation infrastructures, space for businesses, attractive location, skilled labour, investment security, support packages, potential for around-the-clock operation, EU integration, moderated costs, quality of life and openness to receive international companies and professionals.
Formerly military airbases, airports were open to international passengers, cargo and, mostly, for new entrepreneurial ventures. Enhanced offer of aviation services and industries prime
entrepreneurial locations were developed. Thus, those recently developed infrastructures are playing a critical on promoting regional development, growth and employment.
SME operating within those clusters are facing renewed challenges to meet innovation, integration and scale. As a response, cooperative networks are likely to be a critical dimension in entrepreneurial performance next years. Thus SME will be better able to meet and benefit from the foreseen growth in aviation sectors.
This event’s objective is twofold: foreseeing and networking. Foreseen common challenges to be

Context
The organizers are committed to the future MultiRegio project which is aimed at developing a multiregional service platform for the investment, competitiveness and employment. The emerging Euroregions, encompassing Andaluzia, Alentejo, Extremadura and Algarve, both in Spain and Portugal, are MultiRegio’s geographical scope.
The Rzeszów Aviation Valley provides a paradigmatic case study on aeronautic industries’ role as a catalyst for science, technology, innovation and regional development. In Sevilla a renowned aerospace cluster plays a growingly notorious role in the European aeronautics context. In Beja, a new international Airport is located in a region likely to bloom next years as a unique combination of new
regional assets enables a lively business environment.
The new 2014-2020 period calls for more intense transregional cooperation, enhanced planning and improved investment efficiency. This Networking Meeting enables mutual learning and joint vision sharing in a timing when the need of detailed planning is crucial.
The three regions are members of Difass InterregIVc, where their commitment to entrepreneurship and economic growth is shared with more 21 European regions.
