The Goshenites fought hard by lyin g down and ta king t ime ou t after eve ry other play. This prevented the lo cals from pulling off any of their "c ha in lig .htn in g" plays a nd kept the score down low.

" Krup p Gun" Scott was the ch ief battery launched aga ins t Goshen. The "Blonde" wa,s in mid-s eas on form and until t he fo ur th quarter was -the on ly m.an to score for the Tan and Blue. Up to the fourth quarter, Scott had made 16 p oint s for South Bend . He contriibuted two to uc•hdown ,s, ,one g oal and one drop kick.

Not only t hi s, but made · a sensationa l 90 ya rd run for a touchdown , after int ercept ing a pass on South Bend's te n yard lin e.

Garfie ld du ,pli cate d Scott '·s feat in the fourth qua -rter , and traver se d 80 yards for a touoh do wn but was cal led back when Scott was acc used o f a-ssirsting him . He was a llo wed to make a nother sc·or e after a few minutes' delay however, when he ,shot over the goal for a ·fake p lace kick.

Quarterback i:l,kpn lck was t he star of the Goshenites and sco.red the ir only points ·by a pretty drop _ k ick in the ,seco nd quarter.

After <the game the team turned in and pu rcha ,sing ma-sks join ed the populace in Goshen in cele -brating Hallowe 'e n . The fe lol ws started a sna k e dance a nd gave yells that let t he inha -bitants know they were alive.
