This is the ultimate ‘social proof’ to demonstrate to all your prospective customers what a great service your business provides.

The “Review Widget” can be installed on your website by you or your web developer, and you can pick the colours to suit your website.

Not only will it pull through your reviews from thebestof, people can add a review direct from your website.

Some companies charge £75 a month just for this. Our charge to you? Nothing; there is no extra charge.

At the moment this app is available only for iPads, but if successful, it will be rolled out for other tablets. This app is only available for members (clients) of thebestof and gives you tips on growing your business, the “Getting Customers” Six Pack (which retails for £100) tips on making the most of your membership, videos and newsletters.

Today we interview Clare Montgomery of Beaujolais and Beyond to find out more about Clare and her online wine business.

What first inspired you to run the business?

A total love of Beaujolais; the opportunities that the internet

created to find and supply our Beaujolais to Beaujolais loving

customers; a growing interest in all things digital; and this provided a semi-retirement project for Dad and a new venture for me.

What do you enjoy about your particular business or industry?

The wines – obviously – but visiting the region and meeting the wine makers is inspiring; their warmth and generosity is hugely welcoming and to hear the passion they have for their wines and the chance to taste it with them.

What is the ONE thing that you want your business to stand out for?

Each and every bottle of wine a customer opens from us tastes delicious.

Beaujolais is an underrated region - and some people can be really quite dismissive about the wines - but they are fantastic. The Beaujolais region has wines that suit almost any occasion - whether you are looking for an easy drinking quaffable wine to enjoy on its own or something more serious and complex to suit a special meal.The wines are also relatively low in alcohol at 12-12.5%, so they are more approachable and don’t leave you groaning after a glass or two.

To date, what has been the most memorable moment running your business ?

The ThreeWineMen tasting at Lords last year, our first wine tasting – meeting my hero Ian Botham. Ian was there promoting his own wine, but took time when introduced, to stop and chat for a while. He and Dad shared a close connection through friendship with John Arlott the famous cricket commentator and Beaujolais lover. John was a huge influence in Dad’s early Beaujolais career and the

two of them took part in a BBC2 programme on Beaujolais hosted by Jancis Robinson in the early 80s.

What one piece of advice would you give about buying wine?

Experiment, be adventurous – take the advice of a good merchant and spend a little more money, as you’ll get a lot more wine quality.
