Every time, some SEO guy would advice you to write quality content, in order to rank highly in Google. Truth is, they're not telling you the truth. It's the worst SEO advice you can ever get if you're running a website or blog on the internet. Stop following the crowd when it comes to search engine optimization. You've to determine first, what you want to achieve with your content, then you can go on with the plan. SEO isn't all about quality content. There is more and in fact, quality content doesn't exist in the first place. Everyone is talking about writing "quality" content, but how many people truly understands what it means? You've to know that "quality" is a standard. And each person has a different way of defining what standard means to them. For instance, you can read a piece of content today and rate it as high quality; I can read the same and not get any meaningful tip. It's all a matter of perception. How we see content and what it means to us. Since quality content doesn't exist, what are you going to do? I need this idea to first cement down in your head. Because if you don't stay on the same page with me, you may never enjoy the rest of this slide. The important thing to note is that what determines how high a particular content ranks in Google is what happens to that content outside. It's not the on-page SEO, which by the way is essential. When people share your content, it can mean a lot to Google and that's how you begin to build that "engagement" that Google seeks.
