Young forever?Scientists from Scotland University announced yesterday a major breakthrough in our fight for a higher quality of life which will revolutionize our daily life and our social systems all over the world.

Telomerase is the source of hope for a better future in life expectancy and health.

Normally a cell can splice only a few times. That is the reason why we get older.But there is an enzyme called telomerase that you can find in our gametes. This enzyme causes that the cell can keep on splicing without getting older. Because of this people will can live longer. The scientists of the university have found a way to put this enzyme in all of our cells. If the experiment works then we would be possible to be forever young: your cells don’t get older anymore.

But there are some critics about this case because some people says it is not ethic. Our earth would not can handle the

population if nobody dies. So the problem would be who is going to stay, who has to leave and who will decide this.

What is Telomerase?

Telomerase is a protein that is an enzyme which adds DNA sequence repeats ("TTAGGG" in all vertebrates) to the 3' end of DNA strands in the telomere regions, which are found at the ends of eukaryotic chromosomes. This region of repeated nucleotide called telomeres contains non-coding DNA material and prevents constant loss of important DNA from chromosome ends. As a result, every time the chromosome is copied only 100-200 nucleotides are lost, which causes no damage to the organism's DNA. Telomerase is a reverse transcriptase that carries its own RNA molecule, which is used as a template when it elongates telomeres, which are shortened after each replication cycle.

Pizzatree?John Carter, a professor of the university in New York has discovered a new technic to produce food.

After many years of research he discovered a seed that will become a Pizzatree. This is very useful for the environment because we don’t need factories anymore to produce pizza and we will not need any transport to bring it to the customers because everyone will have a tree in there garden. It is also good for the hungry people of the Third World countries because with the trees we can produce a lot of food in a short time and it is also very easy to sew the seeds because they only need water. The quality of the ground is not important. One Pizzatree can feed five people for one year. So far we can produce margarita, hawaii and salami. In the future Mr. Carter wants to find other seeds that can make fries, bread ….

Happy Planet 101Cape Canaveral/Florida-Professor Cekas has discovered a new planet in the universe and he gave it the name “Happy Planet 101”. The name refers to a dog whose name is “Samson” because the planet looks similar to him. It’s the first time that people can visit a planet, so they are really excited about it.

When you want to visit the planet, you have to travel by spaceship. The trip last

about two weeks to fly to the planet because during the

travelling you will also visit a few other planets like the moon, Mars, Pluto… On each planet you will have a short break of one day. So than you can enjoy the different views. Nowadays people have a lot more vacation than twenty years ago, so they don’t mind that it takes so long to get to the planet. Maybe by discovering this planet they will find new natural resources.

Olympic games The Olympic hall is getting ready for use. It has taken a week to build it. The Olympic games will be held in Iraq next year. For the Iraq people it is very special to have the Olympic games in their county next year. They have been in war with other countries for more than 70 years but now they are in peace and they have a democratic government. In 2068 it will be for 10 years without war. Heliboard, trampoline run, water football and spaceship race will be the main sports.

Yesterday there was the most excited match in the league in heliboard. The Flamingos visited the Potters in New York Central Park. The game was even until the last minute when Leroy passed the ball to Robinson and Robinson flew across the field and scored the most important goal of the game, because of this goal the Flamingos have now a spot in the finals. The finals will be next week against the Wifis.

Hydrogen – clean energy for all of us!In the last week the last fossil fuel petrol station was shut down in Europe. The fuel we used for nearly 200 years for our cars and lorries has now been replaced by the more environmentally friendly hydrogen. Our cars are now only producing water as an end product and we will see even more positive effects for 0ur climate.In 2012 when the first petrol stations offered hydrogen they produced by using solar energy, which they collected on the roofs in their neighbourhood. A big breakthrough came when all the bridges were remodelled to use the wind energy which was produced by the cars driving below them. It was also made possible from the late 2020’s to store the electricity produced by using renewable energies. People became independent from the big companies and could decide

for themselves which type of energy they wanted to use.As everyone by then had already felt the consequences the use of oil and coal had on their lives, the decision was easy. The governments gave enough subsidies to new technologies in cars, heating and for industrial purposes. It was one of the wisest decisions we ever made. Since then we could see the positive effects for example in a reduction of extreme weather conditions like draughts or flooding all over the world by more than 60%.

In the last ten years Clean-Water-Technologies Ltd., a globally working company for producing

clean and safe drinking water, invested 500 billion Euros in a new facility in Hyderabad (India) to find a solution for the heavily polluted water in the area.They started out by modifying the desalination technology already used at the end of the 20th century. There were a lot of chemicals to get rid of and for every sort of contamination a new module was added. There was also the necessity to make the facility environmentally friendly in the respect that pollutants had to be either recycled into something useful – like the heavy metal legacies (copper, lead, mercury, chrome and cadmium) or could be deposed in a safe, non hazardous state.

As a result of the environmental policy of all countries and all people Europe became clean and beautiful place to live, and today, we the people who live in 2057 can enjoy the fresh air, clear waters, not polluted soil etc. There are no more factories, polluting the air, waters and soil. All the industrial enterprises and power stations are equipped with air and water purifying systems. There are no nuclear power stations in Europe, all the energy used in Europe is from renewable sources. All the cars, trucks and other vehicles use biofuel. Because of the efforts of the governments

of all the countries in Europe, because of the strict environment policy of the European Union, because of the efforts of all the people in the European Union environment, nature in Europe is clean, not polluted and Europe is the most beautiful and pleasant and clean place on the whole planet Earth. We all hope that people from all other continents on our planet will use our experience and do the same efforts to save the whole planet.

Weather Forecast: Today the weather is good around the Mediterranean. In the centre of Europe the temperature is around 10 degrees. In France and Great Britain the temperature can even reach 15 degrees but it will be a rainy day for the British people. In the East it can be cold and snowing. In the Nord of Europe it can seem very cold because of the wind although the temperature is above the freezing point.

In the early years of this century many species of animals and plants faced extinction due to horrible conditions in their habitat. Global warming became an major issue very quickly and more than 10,000 animal faced extinction in 2006.

Scientists tried a special breeding programme with the animals that lived in Captivity in zoos already to save them from extinction. Eventually the genetic engineering technology came to help and it was possible to get more and more healthy animals again.Also the newly found awareness for the environment in all countries helped a lot as the habitat was no longer plundered by big industrial companies. In 2030 the Siberian tiger and the gorilla were no longer considered endangered species. The positive news continued every year and we look forward to even put the rhinoceros from the list. Any way it was a pity, that the panda bears could not be saved as their main food source, the dragon head bamboo could not be saved from extinction in 2025.

We still find new species in remote island e.g. in Madagascar, where a chameleon with only 3 cm of body length was found last year. It is considered one of the smallest reptiles in the world. 9 March 2067 – Iceland
