Why have signs & wonders wandered?

1. Carnal Thinking

not receive the things

of the Spirit . . .

because they are

spiritually discerned.”

the spiritual causes

& cures to illness

Sin” is to stubbornly

resist the Holy Spirit’s

witness to Jesus in all

its various forms

– Specifically, to resist

His witness through

supernatural signs &

wonders performed in

Jesus’ name


3. Modern Medicine

“She had suffered a

great deal under the

care of many doctors

and had spent all

that she had.”


4. A relatively clean spiritual past

– Puritans– Moravians– Anabaptists– Quakers– Persecuted Christians

from Europe


5. Fear

“Don’t be afraid; just

believe.”

Mark 5:36


6. Lack of Faith

“But without faith it is

impossible to please

God. He that comes to

God must believe that

He is, and that He is a

rewarder of those who

diligently seek Him.”


7. Lack of Perseverance

“Yes, Lord, but even the

dogs under the table

eat the children’s

crumbs.”


8. Christians who are “buzzed” but not “under the influence” of the Holy Spirit.

“Do not be drunk with

wine, but be

[continuously] filled

with the Holy Ghost!”

9. Unsanctified, unprepared, timid and jealous leaders

“This kind can only

come out by prayer

and fasting.”



There’s NO reason why we can’t experience

signs & wonders today!
