Sebastian tried to convince Ariel that she would be happier under the sea. “Down here is your home,” he told Ariel, but her wish was to be with Prince Eric, the man she loved.


As she was dreaming about Eric, King Triton entered

Ariel’s secret grotto. He destroyed Ariel’s treasures from the human world, hoping to protect her.

That evening, Sebastian created a romantic mood as Ariel and Eric

Only Ariel’s friend Flounder seemed to understand and he surprised Ariel with a statue of the prince that had sunk the night she’d rescued him. “Oh, Flounder, you’re the best!” she cried. “It looks just like him.”


Happy to be human, Ariel wiggled her toes while Sebastian watched

in shock. “I’m gonna tell the sea king,” he said. But he knew that she would never be happy as a mermaid.
