Reports We have been busy completing the end of year reports. These will be handed out on the night of our

concert. If you would like to discuss anything related to your child and their report please phone the office to organise a time to meet with your child’s teacher. This can be done anytime during the year with

an appropriate appointment that suits both parents and teachers.

Please keep a watch. The school was recently targeted by vandals. We had someone on site who damage our external power

box. This we believe to happen sometime on Saturday evening to Sunday 26-27th Nov. Please keep an eye out for any suspicious vehicles or persons lurking near our school over the holidays or weekends. My

after hours contact number is 0417 745 397. We usually know when workman or expected visitors

should be on our site after hours. We want to keep our school safe and beautiful.

Farewell Year 6 Soon we will farewell two very special Year 6 students Ellie and Tyson. Both have been great leaders in

our school. I wish them all the very best as they enter High School. Tyson will attend Kyogle High School

and Ellie will be going to Trinity Catholic College in Lismore. I am sure they will love high school and

show all their many talents to the teachers in their new schools. I hope they will look back at their time

at Wiangaree with fond memories of fun times, full of laughs and great friendships.

Thank You, Staff. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the wonderful staff at WPS. Their hard work and dedication as

made a huge difference into the students’ lives. I thank Emily, Libby, Wendy, Mel, Caroline, Jamie, Gavin

and Lauren for everything they have contributed this year. I wish them a wonderful break and a very

Merry Christmas

End of Term School will finish for the students on the Friday 16th December and will resume in 2017 on Monday 30th

express how thrilled I am to be at Wiangaree Public School. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas

and Happy New Year and I look forward to wonderful year in 2017.

Last week 3 of our students: Ellie, Matilda and Savannah had their dance concert for the Lorraine Sigley

Dance Studio in Kyogle. They performed routines to an appreciative audience. Well done girls, you looked

amazing in your costumes and we are very proud of you!

This year Alison Wallace participated in the 4x4 PINK RUN in Qld raising funds for Breast Cancer Research.

Well done Allison on your achievement and fundraising for a great cause.

This photograph was taken after a hail storm in Kyogle last

week. Hope everyone was safe in the recent storms and

continue to stay safe during our storm season. What is hail- In a hailstorm, small ice particles that form

above the freezing level (which occurs in all thunderstorms) collect either rain water or cloud water on them, forming a

water shell that freezes. The tilted updraft and downdraft

structure of the storm is important in order for hailstones

to grow, until they either become too large for the updraft

to carry them, or they get caught in a downdraft, and they

finally reach the ground. That’s hail!
