• The who formed in 1964

• The members are Pete Townsend, Rodger Doltery, Keith Moon and John Entwisted.

• They became famous for smashing up their instruments after they had finished their performance.

• One of their most famous songs is My Generation which is about stuttering.

THE WHO

There most famous song My Generation made the who $45 million profit. And that led on to them making over 38 albums. The Who is one of the most famous bands in the world. A study claimed that 2 in 10 people have listened to a Who song.

In the second live performance from The Who drummer Keith Moon collapsed on stage after taking two to three horse tranquilisers. Doltery had to ask the audience if there was any drummers whom new all of The Who songs.

THE WHO GO TO AMERICA

In 1962 The Who go to America but because of there bad behaviour (driving a Rolls Royce into a hotel) they were kicked out of America.

From the trip to America The Who make over $200 + million the most any band has ever made in over 2 weeks.

MAD MOON

Keith Moon was the drummer of The Who and is well known for destroying hotels, driving a Rolls Royce into a swimming pool and setting fire to a motor home while preforming live in Leeds.

He’s also well known for taking so many drugs before a live preformance that he collapses on stage.

RODGER DOLTERY

Rodger Doltery is the lead singer for The Who. In my opinion I think he has one of the best voices in the world as it is so powerful and has a great range of songs that he can sing in.

Rodger is the sensible one in the group and begged the American police to let them stay in the US as he wanted to live there but because of Mad Moon there were banned and could never go back even to this day.
