Rosemary, Christine, Ward and I very much appreciate and thank all the CSMEE members who supported us during our mum's injury, hospitalization and subsequent death. The much larger attendance than expected of members at Alice's funeral was of great support and we thank you for your condolences. A special thanks to Mick Richardson for the very much treasured plaque of the poem – The Dash, which was read at the funeral. Mick words are not enough to thank you.

OPEN LETTER TO ALL CLUBS ISSUEDBelow is the advice to all model railway clubs in the area regarding the combined social day for 15th February at the CMR. It is hoped as many members as possible will attend to assist in the day and greet our fellow modellers!

December, January are traditionally months of high expenses (mostly our insurance bill) and lower than normal income. This is reflected in our budget where we expect a loss over this period. Our actual loss was greater than budgeted, mainly due to lower ticket sales at the KMR, especially in January. However, our better than expected performance prior to December has left us still comfortably ahead of budget overall. That situation should further improve when we receive some payments on our insurance claims.

Club treasurer Kevin Olds tests out his prize - a personalised coffee mug - for being the first to select John Crocker in our “Name that Member” compet i t ion sponsored by Express Print ‘n’ Press.
