ImPoRTANT - TRANSFERS of dogs from regular classes to Best of Breed/Variety Competition (Ch. 11 Section 6, AKC Rules) MUST be made to the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at this show. TRANSFERS by Junior Handlers from Novice to Open Class or from the Open to Master Class MUST be made to the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. SUBSTITUTIONS of Junior Showmanship dogs must be made at least one half hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship classes at the show. TRANSFERS OF DOGS IN OBEDIENCE CLASSES (Ch. 1 Section 16 of Obedience Regulations) The request for transfers must be in writing and presented to the Superintendent/Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Transfers for Obedience may be approved, provided the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit.

At the Piers, beginning at 5:30 A.M., Exhibitors will be directed to respective unloading areas and will be assisted by Harry Miller’s Site Control personnel. All Exhibitors will be responsible to have their unloading/loading hangtag clearly placed on the rearview mirror. Please have vehicle flashers on when loading/unloading.Shuttle buses from Gold Star Hotels will begin running at 5:00 A.M.

LOAdINgLoading Monday and Tuesday commences at 4:30 P.M. Vehicles will be staged starting at 4:00 P.M. on the Piers Access Service Road. To access this area turn left at end of 59th Street from 11th Avenue, proceed under the West Side Highway, and wait to be directed to enter the Piers for loading. Upon release, crate handlers will assist those needing help to the loading area. Vehicles will be dispatched by Security and Site Control personnel. Please always keep your hangtag on your rearview mirror, and leave your flashers on during the process. Kindly remove your vehicle when loaded to allow space for the next in line.

Consult Benching and Ring Layout in your packet for ease in finding your benching row and judging ring.

The event Committee is advising all exhibitors to give yourself plenty of time to get to your ring. It is our advice that you locate your ring in advance and have a route planned to get there in time for your judging.

Those exhibitors/handlers who will be benched in Pier 92 but who will be showing in Pier 94 or vice-versa need to allow time to make that trip. There is a dedicated exhibitor elevator in front of Pier 92 and a covered walkway with an exhibitor entrance into Pier 94.

There is also a stairway directly between Piers 92 and 94 for exhibitors wITHOUT dOgS to use

The personaccompanying the dog must show an admissionticketandthedog(s) identificationbeforethedogwill be admitted. dO NOT BrINg ANY dOgS THAT Are NOT eNTered.Thereisnoprovisionforunentereddogsat thisshow.exhibitors must retain their dog identifications which must be surrendered when dogs are removed from the show. There will be security coverage at Madison Square garden, however, there is no individual personal security guard service available at MSg.

2. Theownerofthedogorthehandlerisresponsibleforthepresenceoftheirdoginthejudgingring.ThereisnoruleofthisClubortheAmericanKennelClubthatrequiresajudgetowaitforanownerorhandlertobringhisdogintothering.

3. wrISTBANdS are required for access to the ReadyAisles and Rings. Exhibitor Wristbands may be pickedupateitherMB-FOfficeonPiers92and94.Youmustpresent your dog's ID to get yourWristband. HandlerswithanAgentnumbermaypickuptheirWristbandsattheSupt.OfficeonPier92beginningat3:00p.m.Sunday.

4. All cell phones, pagers, beepers, etc. must be on “mute” or “vibrate” when in the ring area. Persons with ringing or toning cell phones, pagers, beepers, etc. will be escorted from the ring area. No cell phone photos/videos are permitted.

OverNIgHT BeNCHINg

1. exhibitors wishing to bench their dogs' overnight should do so in the designated areas on Piers 94 and 92. These areas will have security guard presence. PLeASe NOTe: An identification sticker MUST be affixed to your crate with emergency contact information NOTed. Stickers are mandatory and may be obtained at the Superintendent's office. exhibitors desiring NOT to bench your dogs in the designated security areas will be reQUIred to complete a liability release form provided by westminster.

2. dogs must be removed from these areas by 6:00 A.M. the following morning.

2. A designated overnight benching area will be provided for exhibitors desiring to leave their dogs overnight prior to their show day at The Piers.

Thefollowingbreedsmustbejudgedonarampthroughall levelsofconformationcompetition:SussexSpaniels,Basset Hounds, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei and ChowChows.ThisextendstoallconformationcompetitionatAKCconformationdogshowsandanyAKCeventwhereaconformationtitlemaybeearned.ThispolicyincludesGroup, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 MonthBeginnerPuppyCompetition,theAKCNationalOwner-HandledSeries(NOHS),andallotherspecialattractionsthatofferGroupandBIScompetitions.

Rampscanbeusedinemergencysituationstojudgeany

breed.Inanemergencysituation,whereuseofarampisnot indicated in thepremium list, an exhibitorhas theoptionofwithdrawingtheirentryandreceivingarefund.

Forthe judgingof juniorstherampmaybeusedat thediscretionofthejudgefortherampoptionalbreeds.

LOSS Or dAMAge

1. Themanagementwillnotberesponsibleforthelossordamagetoanydogorpropertyofanyexhibitor,whethertheresultofaccidentoranyothercause.Itisexpresslyunderstood that every dog at the show is in the careandcustodyandcontrolof itsownerorhandlerduringthe timethedog isontheshowpremises.Seealso theAgreementonthereverseoftheentryform.

2. The welfare of an exhibitor’s/spectator’s child is theresponsibility of the exhibitor/spectator. It is expresslyunderstood that exhibitors/spectators will exercisecontrolandrestraintovertheirchildrenwhiletheyareontheshowpremises.TheuseofchildstrollersisNOTrecommended.

3. The Westminster Kennel Club and its Superintendentcaution all persons entering the show site and showgroundstobeobservantofanyhazardswhichmayexist,including,butnotlimitedto:Conditionofthesite/grounds,parking/loading/unloading areas, entrances, floors andstairways, elevators and escalators, floor coverings,walkways, tenting/canopies, electrical appliances, cordsandfittings,exercisepens,andthepresenceofanimals.Allpersonsshouldtakeintoconsiderationthisisasportingeventanddress,actandexercisecautionappropriatefortheactivityinvolved.Allpersonsenteringtheshow,thegrounds,siteandshowareasforwhateverpurposedosoentirelyattheirownrisk.Byvirtueofenteringtheshow,theentranthas indicatedtheiracceptanceofthetermslistedinthispremiumlistandassumesallrisksinvolved.

eQUIPMeNT

1. The Club and its Superintendent provide assistance toexhibitors and handlers in unloading and placing theircratesandgroomingtables.Benching/groomingareaswillbearranged in rows; aisleswill be to facilitate exhibitors andtoexpeditethesafeandsmoothoperationoftheshow.All exhibitor's equipment must be located behind the taped lines in the benching area.Byenteringthisshow,exhibitorsand handlers agree to follow all directions of the specialassistants charged with arranging andmaintaining orderlyconditionsintheseareas.Abuseoftheseassistantswillnotbetolerated.

2. grooming will take place at the dog's bench in each of the show venues. grooming tables in excess of 24 x 48 inches are not permitted at the Piers. Tables must be folded when not in use. Benching/grooming of dogs in areas other than those specified is not permitted. All crates/tack units must be stacked.

grooming tables will be provided by the Club for the BOB/v winners at MSg. These tables are the property of The westminster Kennel Club and may not be removed from the show site. See also Premium List page 33, items #5 and #8.

3. No Flexi/retractable leads or stacking trainer equipment are permitted at this show.

4. Fabric crates are not permitted at this show. ALL CrATed dOgS MUST Be IN CrATeS that permit the public to easily view the dog.

5. No private exercise pens are allowed anywhere in each of the show venue precincts. Public exercise pens will be for multiple dogs at all times. dogs must be on lead in exercise pens. No exceptions. A separate area will be provided for bitches in season. Owners/handlers are to clean-up after their dogs. Blocking off exercise pens is NOT permitted.

6. A small chair can be placed between bench and grooming table within the taped line. For the safety of all, no other tables and other furniture are allowed in the benching areas. Aisles will be delineated by taping. Nothing can extend beyond the grooming table or interfere with traffic flow or other exhibitors and their dogs. No aisle obstruction is permitted.

7. Handbills,circulars,orotherprintedmattermaynotbedistributedatthisshow.

8. Allcordsonfloormustbetapeddowntoavoidtrippinghazards.

9. NeitherWKCnor theSuperintendent is responsible foranyequipmentorsuppliesorotherbelongingsleftonthebenchesorateitheroftheshowvenues.

BeNCHINg

1. Dogsarereceivedonlyattheexhibitors’entrancesnotedonthelayoutsforthePiersbeginningat5:30A.M.E.S.T.,each morning. Best of Breed/variety winners and theWinner of The Masters Obedience Championship are

receivedat theexhibitors’entrancerampnotedon thelayoutforMadisonSquareGarden,beginningat2:30P.M.E.S.T.eachafternoon.TheMastersObedienceChampionis requested to be present at MSG on Monday Only.JuniorFinalistsarereceivedatMSGTuesday.

DogsmustarriveatthePiersby11:00A.M.E.S.T.onthedaytheyarejudged.Dogsarrivingafter11:00A.M.E.S.T.willnotbeadmitted,andnoentryfee(s)willbereturned.Alldogsnotbenchedovernight in thedesignatedareas(Seepage31,"OvernightBenching")mustsignaliabilityrelease form. Best of Breed/variety winners and the Masters Obedience Champion ONLYwillbereleasedtoMadisonSquareGardenbeginningat2:30P.M.TUeSdAY BreedS will not be admitted into the Piers until 8:30 P.M. Monday evening. BeST OF Breed dogs must arrive at Madison Square garden by 5:00 P.M. each evening and may be released beginning at 8:30 P.M., or upon completion of the first group. (See also Obedience pages 25-27 in the Premium List). They must be removed from the benching areas at Madison Square garden by 11:30 P.M. on Monday, February 11, 2019 and Tuesday, February 12, 2019. No dogs may remain in Madison Square garden overnight.

3. All dogs will be benched. The Four variety group winners from Monday MUST be benched on Tuesday at the Piers from 11:00 A.M. e.S.T. until 2:30 P.M. e.S.T. All exhibitors will be assigned a specific benching rowormulti-breedstatus.Alldogswillbeontheirbenchesandmustbe able tobe viewedby thepublic.A bench card displaying the dog's bench/armband number will be supplied by the Superintendent at the dog’s bench. Those benched in the Multi-Breed area MUST attach the bench card to each dog's crate.Alldogsmusthavethecratestickerwiththeexhibitor'snameandcontactinformationforthedurationoftheshowlocatedattheirbenchoronthedog’scrate.

No prizes orribbons shall be displayed on the bench except thosewonbythedogorJunioratthisshow.

7. Chapter 13, sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the AKC RulesApplyingtoDogShowsisstrictlyenforced.Thebenchingofdogsisanintegralpartofthedogshow,theimportanceof which cannot be overstated. exhibitors/Handlers who do not adhere to the benching requirements of the AKC and The westminster Kennel Club as noted in this premium list run the risk of The westminster Kennel Club refusing all future entries from you for their show.Inaddition,dogsarepresumedtobeunderthecarecustodyandcontroloftheperson(s)listedontheentry form.Neglectofadog in thebenchingareascould result in anEventCommitteeHearing. 1. The New York City Health Code requires all animals to be accompanied by a Current rabies vaccination Certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian. Additionally all dogs residing in New York City must have a valid dog license.

NewYorkCity lawrequirespetowners topickuppetwastefromsidewalksandotherpublicplaces.Failuretocleanupafteryourdogcanresultinafine.Dogwalkingisnotpermitted in theSanitationareaadjacent to thePiers; monetary fines may be administered. Animalsshouldnotbe leftoff leash inNYC.The law is strictlyenforced and punishable by a fine. Dog waste bothinsideandoutsidethebuildingMUSTbepickedupanddisposedofsanitarily.FailuretodosomayresultinanEventCommitteehearingand/orrefusaloffutureentriesbythisclub.

In all cases, once you arrive in the vicinity of the Piers, please follow instructions noted in ‘Unloading/Loading’ procedures.

TrucksTake George Washington Bridge to 178th Street (Truck Route). Turn right onto Broadway. Follow Broadway to 55th St. Turn right onto W 55th St. Cross over the West Side Highway and turn left into the Passenger Ship Terminal – Pier 94.

CarsLincoln Tunnel (from 95) - take 40th St. to 10th Ave. and a left on 55th St.

george washington Bridge - From NY Side take Rt. 9A, Henry Hudson Parkway south/downtown. Proceed south on Henry Hudson Pkwy to last exit at 56th St., stay right for thru traffic. Passenger Ship Terminal is 1 block ahead on right. Paid parking on roof. Rt. 80 or Palisades Parkway - to George Washington Bridge to NY side and follow directions for Henry Hudson Parkway. Proceed south on Henry Hudson Pkwy to last exit, at 56th St, stay right. Passenger Ship Terminal is 1 block ahead on right.

garden State Parkway - To exit 153 or N.J. Turnpike to Exit 16E (better). Then Rt. 3 E to Lincoln Tunnel, follow signs for Lincoln Tunnel. Exit tunnel and make left turn, travel north on 10th Ave., and left onto 55th St. Cross 12th Ave. and follow signs to Passenger Ship Terminal.

Holland Tunnel - follow signs for "Uptown" right on Hudson, left on Canal. Proceed four blocks to West St. and turn right. West St. becomes 12th Ave. Follow "Thru Traffic" signs. Continue north on 12th Ave. and follow signs to Passenger Ship Terminal. (Left at 55th St.)

Queens Midtown Tunnel - when exiting bear right to 34th St. Go west on 34th to 12th Ave. Make right turn, go north to 55th St., make a left at 55th St. and follow signs to Terminals.

Triborough Bridge - Follow signs to "Manhattan" and FDR Drive South. Take FDR S to 53rd St. Exit. Take 53rd St. crosstown to 11th Ave. Turn right, go two blocks (55th St.).
