2020/007 The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 : Part Twenty-Six Robert Swan & Peter-Michael Gerhardt Above: Pützer Elster V-3 c/n 010 was reserved as D-EDEZ and appeared marked as such on the Pützer stand at the ILA exhibition at Hannover in May 1959. When its export to Chile fell through, it became D-ECOG. (HDS) With this instalment of the history of the West German civil aircraft register 1955-1959 we move on to aircraft which did not receive a certificate of registration and were not entered into the Rollenbücher. Some were reservations only; others operated on a Permit (Vorläufiger Verkehrszulassung) but were not fully registered. For most of these aircraft details are sparse and there are few photographs. With this instalment of the history of the West

German civil aircraft register 1955­1959 we move

on to aircraft which did not receive a certificate of

registration and were not entered into the

Rollenbücher. Some were reservations only;

others operated on a Permit (VorläufigerVerkehrszulassung) but were not fully registered.

For most of these aircraft details are sparse and

there are few photographs.

D­ECOZ was the first re­usable general test registration to be issued bythe LBA to avoid the bureaucratic procedure of applying for a permit tofly for every production aircraft by licenced manufacturers; it was prob­ably used on other aircraft apart from the three listed here. It is likelythat the cancellation date of August 1970 indicates the revocation of theregistration.
