International Consultancies Since 2003 designing and coordinating programs for major international humanitarian agencies the Consultant is able to offer proven senior management experiences and the ability to provide programming technical and administrative guidance. The Consultant is able to provide expert understanding and experience in conducting social and technical assessments and designing successful interventions in response to crisis situations but also for rehabilitation and development efforts. The Consultant includes knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with standards and best practices from WASH Clusters, Sphere, Do No Harm and PHAST (Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation) and can provide assistance in the water and food security sectors, for emergency responses and in climate change adaptation and mitigation and disaster risk management efforts. The Consultant is able to offer a broad spectrum of technical expertise in the design, construction, rehabilitation and operation of: Community water treatment plants for surface water Household water treatment systems Small and medium scale irrigation systems Water distribution systems (gravity flown and pressure) Rain water harvesting and water storage systems Urban water quality management laboratory Field water quality testing equipment (e.g. WagTec and Delaqua) Deep bore and dug wells including apron and drainage Hand pump systems and solar pump systems Sanitation facilities for households, schools and hospitals (simple pit, VIP and pour flush) Septic tank technology and simple sewerage treatment plants. Hygiene education and promotion in households and schools targeting specific groups The Consultant is able to make substantive contributions in the advancement of programming standards and best practices with proven experiences in difficult environments and conflict situations for short and medium term consultancies.
