upcoming 20/30 Club Fundraiser, announced by 20/30
officers Danette Mascik and Alea Kelleher. It will be
Saturday, February 20, at Trione Vineyards, and will have a
Mardi Gras theme. Prez John and Rich exclaimed what a
fabulous job the 20/30 Club did helping with our Crab Feast.
The 20/30 Club received a $1000 check for that, and generously turned it over to the
local Little League!
• Jean Herschede asked us to support the
upcoming SCARC dinner, hosted by the Cloverdale
Club, February 25, at the Cloverdale Citrus Fair. It will
be a crab feed!
• Jean Herschede also announced the Annual
Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival, Saturday, February 13,
10 - 4, where Bear Republic beer will be served.
• Gloria Egger reminded us that this year’s
Valentine’s Lunch is Thursday, February 11, Tayman
Park, $30 pp.
• Dr Dave Anderson reminded us that the
Porchetta Feed will be on February 17, 6:00, at the
Vineyard Club.
• Prez John wished Gloria Egger “Good Luck” with her upcoming hip surgery. Gloria,
you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
• Al Loebel told us we should all go to the website
and check our personal info, and update if needed,
especially our Rotary anniversary date.

Bottarini and Prez John, and presented with his Red

(NB…I’m not making this up!)
Artie Stein bought a new pickup and after reviewing all its wonderful features, donated $16
to the club. Great looking truck!
PROGRAM
Bob Freelen introduced today’s speaker,
Katie Wetzel Murphy, whose family owns
Alexander Valley Vineyards. She’s a
partner there along with her two brothers.
She handles sales and marketing. They
have 300 acres of grapes. They offer daily
tours of their caves, and tasting is
complimentary! Aside from her career in
the wine business, Katie is very active in
the community. She is on the board of
Sonoma Country Day School. Each year
they have an event called TED-X, where
they have TED talks. She is also involved
as a volunteer with St. Paul’s Church, where free showers are provided, as well as a free Sunday
meal. In addition, Katie is involved with Mary Kelley in the noteworthy Friends of the
Healdsburg Farmers Market, and is on the Board of the Healthcare Foundation.
RAFFLE: Mike Potmesil had the winning ticket, but not
the winning marble. He did receive a RAIN CHECK (!)
for a lovely bottle of Bertapelle wine!
CLOSING: Prez John thanked visitors and guests for coming, and rang the bell.
NEXT MEETING: DARK NEXT WEEK
