SECTION 4

Christmas is coming and there is so much to do. Things to get done and things to enjoy.

There is a number of "things to enjoy" scheduled at the clubhouse for the holidays. Take a look at the Social Com-mittee page in this issue of the VOICE. With hustling around shopping, decorating, cooking, etc, it is nice to be able to sit down with friends and neighbors and enjoy some holiday mu-sic or a lovely dinner. If you find something interesting please sign up in the white book.

Christmas is also a time for giving. There is a collec-tion box for TOYS FOR TOTS and METROPOLITAN MINISTRIES at the clubhouse. Please keep in mind those that are less for-

tunate.

Our person delivering the VOICE is unable to contin-ue. A very special thanks to Brenda Hamilton who has been doing it for a number of years. We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to do the deliveries. Ideally we would like to have one person on each block to distribute the Voice. If you are interested please call Diane Krivo at 372-0749.

Heads up alert: we have been made aware of some garage thefts. Please don't leave your garage door open dur-ing the day and especially after dark.

May Christmas and the New Year find you healthy and happy.

this show, and does a beautiful performance, so glad to

have Him as a neighbor. Our meet and greet was a huge

success, thanks to all who came, as neighbors we all

bonded as a big millpond community. Thanks for all who

MILLPOND TRACE

Hi Neighbors! And Welcome back Snowbirds! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, now it’s time to get ready for the big one, Christmas! Best wishes to all who celebrate whatever holiday is yours, and let me not forget to wish everyone a Happy New Year! At our meeting on 11/20 our new budget was voted on and accepted by all and we signed our new Spectrum contract which was a pretty good deal. You got that info in the mail from Coastal management last month. I hope you have been coming to the wonder-ful shows at the clubhouse, they have really been great! Kudos to the Social committee for hiring John Timpanelli and his Tin Pan Alley Productions. All his shows have been sellouts, so try to get your tickets in advance. So far there will be a show every month till February and hopefully beyond that! Gonna make this a short one this month, last one of the year! Got lots to do for my Christmas trip up North to see my Grandkids! Ciao for now! JoAnne Boyle-Fisher

SECTION 6-A-Millpond Lake Villas Happy December Everyone!

Where has 2019 gone? The year has certainly

flown by! The Christmas season is around the corner

and we'll be busy with sending out Christmas cards,

watching classic Christmas movies, lots of baking

cookies and spending time with friends and fami-

ly. We hope to see everyone at the Millpond Christ-

mas Party on December 14th and the Sunshine Brass

Band Holiday Performance on December 9th.

BE creative this year and begin your outdoor

decorations early. Last year we had many residents

decorate outside and we hope many more will take

part in adding their decorations this year.

Welcome Sandy Lindbergh to Millpond Lakes

Villas! Sandy is a very active lady who loves painting,

golfing and has recently finished her first book!

Our Deepest Sympathy to the family of long

time Millpond resident, Terri Scotella. Please keep

Tony, Linda and the family in your thoughts and pray-

ers during this difficult time. Terri will surely be

missed.

Happy Holidays!

The View – From Section Three

Welcome back to you snowbirds coming down

from the early winter up north! It is almost Thanks-giving as I write this month’s column and it has been so nice seeing people putting out their holiday decora-tions. Your lights, reindeer, wreaths and nativities help make our neighborhood feel like home. One is-sue that seems to have become persistent in section three is on street parking. It is understandable that with guests or people working at your place having a car or two on the street during the day is unavoidable. However; leaving trucks or cars overnight out on the road is not only against community rules it is also in violation of a county ordinance. Your vehicle is liable to being ticketed or even towed with the cost being billed to you. The better solution is to simply be thoughtful of your neighbors and work out a perma-nent parking solution on your own.

The meet and greet on November 3rd was won-derful and It was a great opportunity to meet people from all over the Mill Pond community. Many thanks to those who cooked set up and organized the affair. On Saturday December 14th at 5:30 there will be a community Christmas buffet giving us another chance to get together. Tickets are just $5 per person and we are simply being asked to bring along our own favor-ite dish serving 6-8 people.

Now is also a good time to mark your calendar for our annual members meeting on Wednesday Janu-ary the 8th at 7 P.M. That is the best place for anyone with any questions to come and find out about what is going on in our community. That’s about all for this month. Maybe while I am out on my walks I will see you around the neighborhood. Have a Merry Christ-mas! Once in our world a stable had something in it that was bigger than our whole world! C. S. Lewis Peter Caligiuri [email protected]

SECTION 5 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holi-

days to all Millpond Residents! We wish you a happy and safe holiday season. We send our best wishes to all of our servicemen and women, and hope they return home soon and safe. We welcome all of our Snow Birds back, and hope they enjoy the winter. The Millpond Estates Section 5 Annual Meeting will be held on January 17, 2020, 1 PM in the Clubhouse. You will receive a mailing from First Choice containing infor-mation. The 2020 Board will be elected and other items are on the Agenda. Please review the material when you receive it, and send your proxy to First Choice. Board members will also be circulating around the neighborhood after the Notic-es have been mailed to answer questions and collect Proxies. We need your cooperation to establish a quorum by proxy or in person at the meeting. This entire procedure is required by Florida Statutes. Please watch your mail and the Club-house Bulletin Boards for further information.

We also invite interested Section 5ers to attend a Board Information Session on Sunday, January 5 at 3:30 PM. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about the Du-ties and Responsibilities of the Board and volunteer to run for the 2020 Board.

Many of our residents decorate for the Holidays with great spirit and enthusiasm. Take some time, bundle up the family, take an evening walk around the neighborhood, and enjoy all the beautiful displays. The Clubhouse will be filled with Holiday Spirit as the Social Committee Decorating Committee does its usual beautiful job decorating.

We thank all Residents who continue to cooperate and keep Section 5 a beautiful and safe place to live. We warmly welcome our new residents, and invite you to join in the many activities available to members of our COMMUNI-TY. If you have any information that you would like to share, please put it in the yellow envelope on the Bulletin Board in the Clubhouse. Include contact information. We will be hap-py to share your good news in this column.

The Records Review Policy is posted in the Clubhouse and was sent to all owners. Please contact First Choice if you did not receive your copy. Contact information for appoint-ment requests to review and inspect Section 5 Documents and to report Deed Restriction Violations are as follows: Da-nuta Dzikowska, Manager, First Choice Association Mgmt. Inc. 4174 Woodlands Parkway Palm Harbor, Florida 34685, (727) 785-8887, <[email protected]> First Choice is our agent and they have ALL of our official records. Individ-ual Board members do not keep official records. There is a practical business reason for this: Section 5 Board members are all volunteers who serve without compensation. If a doc-ument is needed to conduct Section 5 business, it is available during routine business hours at First Choice. If a Board member is out of town, hospitalized, or unavailable, Section 5 business gets done. It is NOT dependent on the health or presence of a particular Board Member. All Section 5 Docu-ments, Including Architectural Permits, are online at mill-pondestateshoa.com.

SECTION ONE

Holiday Greetings from the Millpond Estates Section One Board. We wish you and your loved ones a safe and joyous holiday season.

The Board approved the 2020 budget at the November 18, 2019 board meeting. Monthly assess-ments are being increased from $97.00 to $98.15.

You have recently received a communication from First Choice Association Management notifying you that we will not be using coupon books. This ac-tion taken by the Board amounts to a savings of $400.00. In the communication, they have provided you with alternative payment methods. You are also reminded that monthly assessment payments are due on the first of each month.

There will be no board meeting in December. The next board meeting will be the Annual Meeting of the Board at 6:00 p.m. on Monday January 13, 2020 at the Millpond Estates clubhouse at which time board members will be elected.

Before the new year, you will be receiving a mailing, including a proxy, from First Choice Associa-tion Management announcing the annual meeting for the election of Board Members to be held on January 13, the second Monday of January 2020.

According to the Governing Documents, as a property owner in Millpond Estates Section One, along with the payment of your monthly assessments and properly maintaining your property, it is your duty to vote on the election of board members to conduct business on your behalf. Please fulfill your responsibil-ity by completing, signing and returning your Proxy either by attending the Annual meeting, by mail, or deposit in the box located on the porch at 4212 North-ampton Dr. Or, there will be volunteers going through the neighborhood, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 collecting Proxys.

Again, the Board wishes you a happy Thanks-giving and holiday season. Dennis Holmes

SECTION TWO

Greetings from Section 2!

Hope everyone had a yummy Thanksgiving and enough time with family and friends. Hope the upcoming Christmas, Hanukkah, Sol-stice celebrations warm you with joy and peace! Don’t forget: Millpond's festive Christmas party is on the 14th. Come! Check out the other upcoming events for more winter fun! A Section 2 meeting was held on 11/12 and many fine accomplishments were reviewed. We discussed proposed updates to our HOA doc-uments. There was quite a good bit of controversy. These items will be further dis-cussed at our next meeting on Tuesday, 12/17 at 6:30 p.m. where we will have two guest speak-ers: David Lopez, our lawyer and a financial rep from West Coast Mgmt.. Please come! These items will be put to vote at our annual meeting on 1/20, Monday 6:30 p.m. We need your input. At the meeting, a new Grievance Committee was formed. Many thanks to Gloria, Shirley, & Linda who graciously volunteered to serve. Change has been sweeping through Section 2. We’d like to welcome our new folk: Linda & Tim and Charmagne & Mark. I know there’s more so please email us so we can welcome all of our new neighbors. Sadly, we lost some folks in November. Helen Cohen’s husband, Alan, passed as did Su-san Johnson’s son, Scott. Besides his mom, Scott leaves behind his wife and two daughters. Our condolences and our heart are with the families. Please help Judy and me in our new jobs as news-letter writers! Please send any section 2 news to Judy at [email protected] or to me, Cheryl at [email protected]. We’d love to hear from you! Happy, healthy 2020! Happy New Year!
