Christmas Tree DisposalChristmas trees will be picked up on you regular scheduledtrash day. Please place your Christmas tree next to thereceptacles. The tree must be free of all tinsel, decorationsand lights. If any of these items are on the tree we will not beable to pick it up.

Reminder: Holiday Decorations and LightsPinnacle would like to thank all the residents forbrightening our villages with their wonderfuldecorations and lights. We would also like to remindresidents that all decorations and lights need to beremoved no later than two weeks after the occasion. Ifyour spouse is deployed and you need help withremoval please call your Neighborhood Office.
Winter Heating Conservation Tips1. Be sure to replace your filter every 30 days in your
heating unit.2. Open blinds and or curtains on sunny days.3. Lower your thermostat to 65 when away during
the day.4. Dress warm. Wear a sweater or a shirt over anundershirt. This insulates the air trapped betweenthe layers.
5. Lower your water heater temperature to a levelthat meets your hot water needs.
If you are not able to replace your filter or lower thetemperature to your water heater, please call us for awork order and we will gladly take care of it for you.
The “Do Not’s” for Your Garbage DisposalDo not put grease, meat fat or bones in the garbagedisposal;Do not dump the remnants from a bowl of popcorninto the garbage disposal;Do not put apple seeds and other hard fruit seeds inthe garbage disposal;Never put glass, plastic, metal or paper in the garbagedisposal.
Following these few simple rules will help extend thelife of a garbage disposal.
Chicken Noodle SoupIngredients2 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil1 medium onion, chopped3 garlic cloves, minced2 medium carrots, cut diagonally into 1/2-inch-thick slices2 celery ribs, halved lengthwise, and cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices4 fresh thyme sprigs1 bay leaf2 qt. chicken stock8 oz. dried wide egg noodles1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chickenKosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 handful fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely choppedDirectionsPlace a soup pot over medium heat and coat with the oil. Add theonion, garlic, carrots, celery, thyme and bay leaf. Cook and stir forabout 6 minutes, until the vegetables are softened but not browned. Meanwhile, boil water in a separate pot and cooknoodles according to package instructions. When slightly lessthan al dente, drain and set aside. Pour in the chicken stock and bring the liquid to a boil. Fold in the noodles and chicken, andcontinue to simmer for another couple of minutes to heatthrough; season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped
