About Americ a 's Grow-A-Row
This p rogram sta rted in 2002 with a sma ll p lot and a sing le
volunteer (Chip Pa illex). After seeing a p lea from the
Flemington Food Pantry requesting tha t any ga rdeners
dona te exc ess p roduc e, Chip and his daughter Kyra , who
was four years old a t the time, c ultiva ted their own garden and dona ted
about $3,000 worth, or 120 pounds, of p roduc e tha t year. From these humb le
beg innings, we?ve grown into an organiza tion tha t has dona ted over 3.7 million
pounds of p roduc e in 13 years through the ac tive pa rtic ipa tion of more than
4,000 volunteers!

BANQUETOur first annua l Key Club End of Year Banquet is just a round
the c orner! On May 19th a t 7:00pm, we'll be c eleb ra ting
the c ommunity servic e endeavors of this past sc hool year,
honoring outstand ing members for their involvement and
servic e, and b idd ing fa rewell to our senior members. Be
sure to RSVP by May 8th and get ready for a night full of
fun, food , and servic e!

The 2015 Distric t Convention, known
otherwise as DCON, was held from Friday.
Marc h 27th to Sunday, Marc h 29th, this
past Marc h. The event c eleb ra ted the Distric t
Board , c lub offic ers, and genera l members a like
for their outstand ing c ommitment to ga lvanizing
c hange in their c ommunities. There were informative,
educ a tiona l, and engag ing workshops intertwined
between festivities throughout the weekend , whic h inc lude
two danc es and numerous rec ognition sessions. The theme this year
was "The Magic of Servic e", whic h went perfec tly the Harry Potter
sc enery. So... how d id we do?
