• The UEDA is an association of investor-owned electric

and gas utility economic developer professionals and

allied industry service providers

• Independently incorporated as 501( c)(6) non profit

corporation in 2001

• Currently the UEDA has:

• 63 active corporate members

• 20 associate members

Membership

There are two membership categories:

Active Members

• Investor-owned electric and gas utilities involved in

economic development

Associate Members

• Non-investor-owned utility organizations involved in

economic development

UEDA Active Members

• Facilitate professional development through utility

focused education, peer-to-peer networking, economic

development research and contact with service

providers, site selection and economic development

allies

UEDA Associate Members

• Facilitate networking and interaction with active

members through event participation, on-line contact

and through social media

Education Committee

• Maintain UEDA’s educational value to members by planning and

implementing educational programs,

Program Committee

Co-Chairs: Troy Gagliano, Portland General Electric &

Joe Russo, National Grid

• Develop two UEDA educational/networking Forums each year along

with host member utilities.

• Retains UEDA members and expand membership base through

internal communications and value-added programs. Increases the

value of UEDA membership by providing relevant information on

economic development topics, trends and organizational issues.

Co-Chairs: Ammanuel Moore, BGE & Joe Ruso, National

Grid

• Broaden understanding and create preference for UEDA as a

leading niched association by utilizing appropriate Internet

and other communications vehicles.

Development Leadership.

Nominating Committee

• Maintains UEDA’s leadership by identifying new leaders and

managing annual elections to the Board of Directors for the

membership.
