We carried a survey on the use of Social Media by Irish teenagers. We shared the survey on Facebook and Twitter. We received 63 responses from young people aged between 13 to 18.
Our research was conducted by Alex Ryan from Mount Sackville Secondary School.

IN CONCLUSION
Irish teens have a love/hate relationship with Facebook
User friendly social media is the most popular amongst teens
38% are friends with people they do not know and 81% are friends with brands
Almost 97% of teens have smartphones and prefer using mobile devices
