community, classes held in Hudson in the fall and spring for senior citizens. The topics he
presents are manifold, from Metaphysics, to Eastern and Celtic Spiritualism, Tai-Chi, as
well as Irish/Celtic history. His wife is from Ireland and might come along for the presenta-
tion. Ted will share insights into the Irish culture and its Celtic heritage, as well as the Irish
influence on American culture and help debunk some of the American misconceptions
about Irish beliefs and customs.

Your help is needed: Items for the Time, Talents,
& Treasures auction
We’re seeking donated items for the Time, Talents, &
Treasures silent auction. Maybe you’re a great cook
and could make dinner for people, or you know every
bird in the CVNP and could lead a walk ing tour.
Maybe you’re a gifted artist or crafter. If you have a
special talent or skill, we’d love it if you would let us
auction it off. Or maybe you have items around your
house that you don’t use any more, but that someone
else may love. We’d love to help you clear out some of
those nooks and crannies. If you are able to contrib-
ute anything to the silent auction, please let someone
on the Scholarship Committee, Molly McBurney,
Sylvia Johnson, or Diane Vukovich, know by
March 15, 2016.

On February 6th thirty members, friends and family members gathered at Rhodes arena to watch the Akron
U. Lady Zips play the Lady Redhawks of Miami (Ohio). With some excellent shooting and non-stop
running, our team won, and
we cheered boisterously from
our front row seats. Really
enjoyed the pep band, the
cheer leaders and of course
our favorite mascot, Zip-
py. Several of our members
even caught T-shirts that
were thrown into the
crowd. During half-time we
gathered for a group photo
with Zippy. Great way to
spend a Saturday in
February!!
