2. The American flag. Stars and stripes/ Star Sprangled banner This is the American flag. It is red, white and blue. On the left part there are fifty stars, one for each state. There are thirteen stripes, that represent each one of the thirteen British colonies. 3. The national animal: the Bald Eagle The national animal is the bald eagle. For them it represents Strengh and Liberty. 4. The USA map. This is the USA map. The United States is a federal union of fifty states. There is also a Capital district (Washington DC). Some of the most Important states are: New York, Florida, Texas, California, Nevada and Illinois. 5. Washington DC The capital of the United States is Washington DC. It is a big city but its not the biggest city in the US. The president of the United States lives in Washington DC (in the White House). Washington DC is on the east coast of the US. 6.
