What is

Under the leadership of the Secretary-General, United Nations,

governments have advanced international efforts to fight, mitigate

and adapt to climate change

At the Climate Conference (COP) in Cancun in 2010, governments

adopted the Cancun agreements, forming the basis for the largest-

ever collective effort to reduce carbon emissions and address the

long-term challenges of climate change.

Green (R)evolution is an Initiative to Educate, Inspire and Act on

Mitigation & Adaptation methods of Climate Change.

What is Green (R)evolution Global Program?

• Green (R)evolution - Action against climate change is

an initiative by International Centre for Culture & Education (ICCE) cause supported by United Nations

Framework Convention on Climate Change

(UNFCCC).

• This initiative is about spreading knowledge on the

effects of Climate Change and the actions we can take within our own capacity. It is done through various

activities such as global certification programs,

campaigns & workshops.

Green (R)evolution – Global Certification Program is an International Level Short term course study open for School

& College Students.

How does the Program Work?

There are 2 Parts to the Program

Knowledge Testing

On-Ground • Wear-a-Change (Compulsory)

• Group Activity (Optional) Activity

• Online Exam

• Plant-a-Seed (Compulsory)

Program Details

Knowledge Testing: Participants can choose a week slot and inform their respective

Climate Counselors to give the exam. The knowledge shared in the book will be assessed in the

form of 10 questions. The test will contain Objective type questions & scores will be awarded

to the Participants.

“A +”, “A”, “B+” and “B” Grade will be given for the Plant-a-seed/Wear-a-change Activity. Note: Participants who do not attempt the exam by the deadline will be considered disqualified and

will receive a participation certificate.

• Plant-a-Seed (Compulsory): As a part of compulsory activity, all the basic

program participants will have to promote the plant-able pencils for Rs. 25/- each and use the leaflet along with it to explain the issue of Climate Change and the steps one has to take to prevent it. Participants have to ask the buyers of the pencils to give a miss call on the number mentioned on the leaflet to support the cause (An email will be sent to them regarding the Plant-a-Seed Competition). The fund collected by the participants after performing the activity has to be submitted to ICCE. The Funds are used for Social Activities. If Pencils are not promoted it has to be returned to ICCE for dispatch of the certificates. Extra grades are provided for the promotions of extra pencils.

Participants have to ask the buyers of the wristbands to give a miss call on the number mentioned on the leaflet to support the cause. The fund collected by the participants after performing the activity has to be submitted to ICCE. The Funds are used for Social Activities. If Wristbands are not promoted it has to be returned to ICCE for dispatch of the certificates. Extra grades are provided for the promotions of extra wristbands.

Group Activity (Optional): Each group can choose to perform any of the activities

listed on our website. Credits will be given to the participant and the group once chosen activity is completed.

Participants are introduced to social actions through the On Ground Activities. It provides a platform to Educate and Influence the society to Act more willingly against Climate Change.

not only a token of appreciation but proof of involvement. Participants can use these credits to build their profile. Such profiles always have a preference over those who do not contribute to such causes.

Greener Jobs: As the world population swells and

climate change puts increasing pressure on the environment, the need for knowledgeable professionals to mitigate damage to the air, land and sea increases as well. Careers in the environmental sector are expanding and market demand for environmental professionals is expected to exceed that of many other professions. The certification will help our participants to aspire for these jobs.

Learning to live an Environmental Friendly Life: The Ultimate reason to participate

in the program is to learn to take actions against climate change within the participant’s own capacity. Various techniques and activities make the participant learn the best way of living an environment friendly life.
