Ban Ki-moon is the current Secretary - General of the UN. There are 193 member countries in The UN. The UN headquarters is located on an 18-acre site on
the East side of Manhattan. The four major organs of the UN are: The General Assembly The Security Council The Economic and Social council The International Court of Justice Council
Purpose/Mission
The overall mission of the united nations to ensure that the world run properly without major violence and provide freedom for every one.

individuals.
General assembly
The General Assembly decides in every issue covered by the UN.
All 193 country members are part of the General assembly.
Each country gets One vote.Decisions are made by majority of state’s
vote or President’s and delegation’s consideration.

Permanent members: China, France, Russian Federation, The United Kingdom and The United States.
