Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! Postal Service Management Resumes Full Support For

‘Toys For Tots Campaign’

Union officials and members of the American Postal Workers Union are extremely happy and relieved that the Postal Service has now agreed to continue with the ‘Toys for Tots Campaign!’ Effective today all Toys For Tots collection boxes will be placed back in all post office lobbies. President John H. Dirzius thanked the membership and the public for their support of the Campaign and hopes that this unfortunate event will result in even a larger outpouring of toys for the children of Connecticut. Dirzius stated; “I am not sure what specific event changed the minds of postal management, perhaps the ‘ghost of Christmas future’, the bottom line is the children of Connecticut will benefit! As the Marine program motto states – Every child deserves a little Christmas.” The officers and membership of the American Postal Workers Union thank the many media outlets that helped get the story out and most important the citizens of Connecticut that voiced their strong support for our efforts – Semper Fidelis!
