The Ukrainian Catholic Liturgical Choir is made up of parishioners from theBuffalo Deanery of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy (Diocese) of Stamford. We areByzantine Rite (or Eastern Rite) Catholics in unity with Rome. The Choir is aLiturgical Choir, meaning, we usually sing at the Liturgy (Mass) and other services.In the Eastern Churches there is no instrumental music, but all services are sung.Because we have members from different Ukrainian Catholic Churches, we usuallysing services for holidays and on special occasions that are celebrated in the variousparishes. We use mainly Ukrainian, but can sing the Liturgy in both Ukrainian andEnglish. It is an honor that our Choir was invited to sing at this service today.
