(Rev 14:14-20) And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a

sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the

cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is

ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. And another angel

came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from

the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of

the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even

unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

NOTES

What we find here in this passage is the clear teaching that there will be 2 stages to his 2nd coming.

These stages are seen in the 2 harvests that are described

The 1st is a harvest of grain that will be stored in the barn. (Post Trib. Rapture)

The 2nd is a harvest of grapes that will be stomped in wrath (Battle of Armageddon)

Page 7: The Tribulation

NOTES

The 2nd coming is seen in the Old Testament in the picture of the feast of Tabernacles

The 2nd coming is seen in the New Testament in the parable of the Wheat and Tares

The 2nd coming is seen in the New Testament in the teaching of the True Vine

the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing

(Jas 5:7) Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.

Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and

latter rain.

(Mat 24:30-31) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of

man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,

and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great

glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of

a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect

from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

NOTES

The end is now come for those that have rejected the grace of our Lord and Savior

Page 26: The Tribulation

(2Th 1:7) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven

with his mighty angels,

(2Th 1:8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of

our Lord Jesus Christ:(2Th 1:9) Who shall be punished

with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the

glory of his power;

(Rev 6:9) And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the

souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony

which they held:(Rev 6:10) And they cried with a loud

voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and

avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

(Rev 6:11) And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until

their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as

they were, should be fulfilled.

Page 30: The Tribulation

(Deu 32:31-35) For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies

themselves being judges. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Their wine is

the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among

my treasures? To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the

day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them

make haste.
