Hello Brethren, I miss all of you, the contact, the stories, the ritual, the meals, us being us. It’s interesting when brother-hood becomes part of your life; you seek it. It’s rewarding and fulfilling. The fact that we sit at a table with someone that drives a truck that transports military equipment, an insurance broker, a craftsman who tiles so perfectly you know that he has a gift for craftsmanship, a financial dude that knows statistics and a nurse who practices saving lives while risking his own…all at the same table, sharing their perspectives of who they are and how they live. There is no other place on earth where you can get this. When we meet in the lodge room all is quiet. We are all equals. From the Grand Master to the Entered Apprentice. I would like to thank all the brothers who gave donations to the lodge. This money is well spent. It helps to balance our budget in these hard times. With the stock market being volatile the money is better pre-served in donations to the building. These donations bring the Brothers 100% return, and that really counts. While we are dark in July and August be creative. Make your home a better place. If you have the talent and time, make someone’s house nice too. The Great Architect of the Universe gave us distinct diverse talents for a reason. Everyone is excellent at something, so expose that and share. Stay safe and healthy. Fraternally,
Mike Rial

Greetings:
I hope this note finds you and your family well.
Well, it sure has been an interesting few months, with lots of changes and uncertainty continuing to persist. Alt-
hough our meetings have been minimal, and we have not been back in the lodge room for some time, I will say that
Brothers Matthew Lawrence and Arizona Milke both made amazing and very thoughtful masonic education presen-
tations over the past few weeks. There is still some great work happening, and I’d highly recommend trying to
attend the next one, if possible. They were both very enlightening, enjoyable and a great way to spend part of an
evening. Thank you, brothers, for shining a little more light into our lives – at a time when it is certainly needed
(and appreciated).
Also – please remember that we have quite a few brothers who have raised their hands to help out anyone who
has a need. So, if you are aware of anyone needing anything, please give me a call so we can try to get help where
help is needed.
I look forward to the next time we meet. May you and your family stay safe and healthy. May peace and harmony prevail. Sincerely and Fraternally, Matt Link Sr. Warden Sun City Lodge #72 303-590-4192 (mobile)

Hello Brothers,
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer as I am. Looking forward to the fall when we can get back in the Lodge and enjoy the full fellowship of our brethren in person. Truly enjoying our Teams meetings for the stated meeting as well as the Masonic Education meetings that we have been able to have and thank you to everyone that has been able to attend.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Marcus Hensley

Sun City Masonic Investment Trust –Investing In the Future
When the Sun City Masonic Center was first established, a number of masonic related people contributed their
time and resources to developing the building and property. Part of their efforts were to establish an investment
trust to provide financial support for a place where Masonic related groups and activities could be conducted. To-
day, the Sun City Masonic Investment Trust is administered by 5 Trustees elected for individual rotating 5 year
terms of office by members of Sun City Masonic Lodge. The Chairman of the Investment Trust Board is Randall
Sturdevant. Members of the Investment Trust must be members of Sun City Masonic Lodge.
The legacy established 30-40 years ago has developed into a Masonic Center which is used by many groups and
many of us enjoy today. With the expenses of today, the Sun City Masonic Center is not self-sustaining and de-
pends on donations from the group using the Masonic Center and the proceeds from the Trust investments. The
proceeds from the invested Trust principal are disbursed periodically and no longer provide a sufficient amount to
cover the ever increasing costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the building and grounds.
The Investment Trust Board oversees the investments and provides, pursuant to the Trust Agreement, a quarterly
amount that is distributed to assist with the operation of the Sun City Masonic Center. The principal of the Invest-
ment Trust was established through donations and contributions by members of the Masonic groups using the Sun
City Masonic Center. The Investment Trust continues to need donations and contributions to maintain and grow a
Trust principal that will provide for the future operating expenses of the Masonic Center.
Individuals, or the groups, desiring to assist in enhancing the legacy or those who founded the Sun City Masonic
Center, are always welcome to make contributions and donations to the Investment Trust principal. Donations and
contributions directed to growing the Investment Trust need to be specifically identified for the Investment Trust and
directed for adding to the invested principal. Routine donations and contributions made to Sun City Lodge No 72
assist the Lodge with current expenses but are not used to grow the principal of the Investment Trust. Individuals
and groups interested in exploring the opportunity to make a direct contribution to growing the Investment Trust
principal should contact Randall Sturdevant at 623.217.9426 or

From the Secretary’s Desk
Sun City Lodge has 213 members. Growth-wise, we are doing well, with two candidates waiting for the second degree and one waiting
for the third degree. Additionally, we have four petitions for membership (two by affiliation/plural and two for degrees). Unfortunately,
this month I received notices about the passing away during recent months of three of our Brethren, which caused the total number of
members to decrease (as did the average age).
Our average age is 70.1 years.
Any business, requiring the in-person attendance of the membership (like degree-work and balloting on petitions), will wait until Grand
Lodge allows normal meetings to resume. If anything of importance needs to be shared with our membership, I will be sure to
communicate it with you.
Stay healthy, Brethren!
Fraternally in Peace and Harmony,
Gary A. Loeb, PM

July 2020
Your officers are hoping you are still well. Please remember that we will NOT have any Nile meetings until October 5, 2020 which at this
time we will do the installation of officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Chaplain.
The second thing is that our meeting quorum has been changed. Please note this change in your rosters under Article III Section 2. So if
you don’t feel comfortable in coming, you will certainly be excused till we can return to a normal way of life.
Reminder: Mark your calendar that the club official visit will be Wednesday November 11, 2020 at the El Dorado.
Your Secretary has new rosters to hand out to everyone. This is my first attempt at making a smaller
version of a roster, I did find a few boo-boo’s, but promise that in the future I will get better.
Have found where Lou Pedroni disappeared to – she moved back to Nevada. This information will be
given to you at our October meeting.

Valley of the Sun DeMolay Chapter Activity Update
With the cancellation of physical meetings due to the gathering restrictions, Chapter members have been active with using the electronic media to stay in touch and have activities. Zoom, Google Hangouts, and internet connectivity have been used to keep everyone involved with the Chapter and State DeMolay activities. This use of virtual activity is part of everyday life for many of the members. Chapter members are selling Yearbook Ads to help with their expenses to attend the July 2020 State DeMolay Con-vention. Contact one of the Chapter members or Dad Dave Zaucha for more information.
DeMolay is a Masonic youth organization for young men. To be eligible to join DeMolay, three simple requirements need to be met by the applicant:
+ You are a young man between the ages of 12 and 21; + You are of good moral character; and, + And you believe in a supreme being (all religions welcome).
The members engage in a variety of service and fun activities. Service events include working with adult Masonic groups and working in local community charity events. DeMolay members enjoy social activities with members of locally Masonic sponsored Rainbow Girl Assemblies and Job’s Daughter Bethels, as well as recreational events in-volving sports and electronic game challenges. The Chapter events and meetings are planned and run by the youth Chapter officers with guidance from the Dad Advisor.
Valley of the Sun DeMolay Chapter regularly meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 4:00 PM at the Sun
City Masonic Center.
Currently, local Master Masons serving on the Valley of the Sun Chapter Advisory Council include: Bryon Howe;
Steve Liguori; Matt Link; and David Zaucha. For further information about becoming a member of DeMolay or how
to become a member of the Advisory Council, contact David Zaucha at 623.236.6307 or

Peoria CHAPTER 59 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR
PEORIA CHAPTER #59 Order of the Eastern Star
Marsha Young, GTE, Reporter
As you can imagine, it is difficult to write an article when there is nothing happening! The members of Peoria are trying to stay connected and healthy. We have several members having medical issues, none are COVID related, thankfully! To those members we extend our best wishes for healing and better health. Sister Crystal Thompson and Brother Roger Hall will remain as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron for the 2020-21 year, by direction of the Worthy Grand Matron, since elections could not be held in May. They will be the contact persons for the Chapter over the summer darkness. I, personally, have not been out and about much since March, so I don’t have a sense of the how things are going in the “real” world. According to our governor and state health officials, things are definitely not improving in the COVID world which leaves us uncertain of when our activities can resume. Actually, it leaves us uncertain about many portions of our personal lives. Uncertain is defined in Webster’s Ninth Collegiate Dictionary in part as: “not certain to occur” and “not clearly identified or defined.” Our future is uncertain in all ways, but if we stick together and continue to stay in touch and help one another, the affects of uncertainty can be handled. If you find you are in need of a friend, or material items, don’t be afraid to reach out to your Chapter members for help. We are here for you…always!
Ad space is now available on the Trestleboard. You may purchase a business card
size for $120 for one year, or a larger ad for $200 for one year. (10 issues) Please
support our Brothers and Friends of the Lodge who advertise in our Trestleboard.
