NOTE: Work Experience
Information regarding work experience will be made
available once we have received guidance from the
Department of Education and Skills.
Students are advised in the meantime to start thinking
about where they would like to do their work
experience (block one – every Thursday from
September to December, block two – every Thursday
from January to May).
It is advisable to have at least one of the placements
in an area that they think they may like to pursue as a
career in the future.

Transition Year Costs
Please note that the Transition Year fee (usually €300
payable in two instalments of €150 each) is currently
under review due to Covid-19. You will be notified
when a decision has been made for the upcoming
year in relation to the fee.

Certification (Sample)
Certification for Transition Year is based on a Credit System, as
follows:
Credits Total: 300
Pass: 180 - 207
Merit: 208 - 252
Distinction: 253 - 300
Each successful student will receive two certificates on completion of the TY
programme:
One Official Transition Year Certificate
Certificates of Participation in various activities
and finally.........
