One of the most horrible things about leprosy was in how the person had to be quarantine away from society, friends, neighbors, family, children, public places, even the temple.

While we cannot do miracles, we need to remember that there are wonderful ways by which we can touch the lives of others.

“Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. ” Kennedy’s inaugural speech, 22 January 1961.

Therefore, ask not …If this is a good congregation of which to be a member, but

ask if I am a good member of this congregation.How much I am loved by others, but how much love I have

shown othersHow many cards I have received, but how many I have sent

others.Who visited me, but whom I have visited.How much I get out of the Bible class but how much I

contribute to the class.If I was remembered in prayer, but whether I have faithfully

prayed for others.Who did or did not speak to me, but how many others I

greeted.If my good work is recognized, but if I have given honor to

whom honor is due.IT IS NOT WHAT OTHERS HAVE DONE FOR ME, BUT

HOW MY LIFE WILL BE REMEMBERED WHEN I AM GONE.

Of course, we are lost and without hope until we ourselves have been touched by the Master’s hand.
