The purpose of each year’s Top Twenty is to present the Top Boxers of the past year so you have a chance to compare them all in the same ring at the same time.

But since this is our 25th

Anniversary we decided that we needed to do something special to celebrate. So, in addition to the top Boxers of

2013, we invited all past Top Twenty winners to be in this color collector’s edition catalog!

It is our distinct pleasure to share with you these Boxers of our past, many that are found in the pedigrees of tonight’s contenders and will be in the pedigrees of many of our future greats.

Join us in celebrating these Top Twenty Boxers from the beginning — 1989 Top Twenty winner, Ch. Rochil’s Grande Marshall “Maxx” to last year's winner, GCH. Breho Fortuity Shared Treasure “Millee.” Read the pedigrees and see how many of these past winners are the foundations of so many of our bloodlines. (Dr. Larry Dosier updated all pedigrees and we could not have done that without him!)

CELEBRATE with us a quarter century of the finest of our breed!!!

1989 Top Twenty Winner

CH ROCHIL’S GRANDE MARSHALL,A/C SOM & ALOM

“Maxx”

Twenty Five years since the audience sat in almost dead silence throughout the first American Boxer Top Twenty competition! One could almost hear a pin drop as Grande Marshall and Michael Shepherd moved around the ring and stopped before the judges for their inspection. I think I was holding my breath during that entire presentation of a young man and his dog.

Grande Marshall known as “Maxx” by all who knew him came into our hands February 16, 1985. His dam, CH Rochil’s Kallista of Marburl, and sire, CH Har-Vels Gold Express gave us a gift we and many others of the Boxer world would know well for many years. He was destined to be a top winning Boxer.

Most memorable moments of his career included completing his champi-onship as Winner’s Dog at the ABC National Specialty in 1986 at only 14 months of age; winning the first Top Twenty competition in 1989, and tak-ing Best of Breed and a Group Two at the prestigious 1990 Westminster Kennel Club Show.

Maxx’s career seemed to zoom by us. He and Michael were very busy young “men” for over four years. They rarely took a weekend off while accumu-lating 264 Best of Breed wins, 94 Group I’s, 21 All-breed BIS and 17 BIS Specialty wins.

His legacy lives on through his twenty six American Champions, eight Cana-dian Champions, one Mexican and one Asian Champion including two ABC Top Twenty contenders in 1992, CH Bullock’s Heman and CH Dream-weaver’s Grandestand.

If you enjoy studying pedigrees, take a journey through several generations of Grande Marshall’s offspring. It may reveal many top winning Boxers over the past twenty years that reach back to this Grande Old Man.

CH. KIEBLA’S TRADITION OF TURO

“Tiggin”

Tiggin was a once in a lifetime animal. From handlers Chris and Dick Baum’s point of view we were so blessed to be part of this record setting girl ‘s life. To this day she still holds the record for most Specialty and ABC wins.

Her record: 50 All Breed BIS 33 Specialty BIS 3 Nationals 4 Regionals #1 Working dog #3 All Breed

But Tiggin was not just a pretty face. She was also the only top-winning bitch to be a Dam of Merit. And she produced a Sire of Merit---all this from being breed only once. Proud does not express my feelings.

Tiggin was such a huge part of our lives and we were so blessed the owners, Bruce and Jeanne Korson and co-owners Kitty Barker and Turo Kennel allowed Tiggin to remain with us untill she went to the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 13 ½ years. That in itself was impressive.

Thank you Kitty Barker for breeding such a special girl and owners Bruce and Jeannie Korson and Turo Kennels for allowing us to come along on this spectacular ride of a life time.

My biggest thank you is to Tiggin. I still love and miss you every day. Chris.

1992 Top Twenty Winner

CH HI-TECH’S ARBITRAGE

“Biff”

Ch. Hi-Tech’s Arbitrage was a second generation Top Twenty contender (a first to our knowledge through his sire Tailo.)

From the day Biff came to live at Hi-Tech at 8 weeks, he showed great potential. At 7 months of age he was WD and BOW for a major under Mrs. J.E. Clark.

His first outing as a Special, he went BOB and Group 1 at 15 months. By the time he was 16 months, he was a multiple Breed, Group and Specialty BIS winner, enabling him to become a Top Twenty contender at a very tender age. We always had high hopes for Biff.

He was BOB Winner at the ABC, Westminster Kennel Club BOB and at the only Boxer to receive an AOM at the Westminster KC Championship Show.

He had numerous wins in Stud Dog Classes at ABC and today is still being used at stud through frozen semen.

His genes run through many of the current Top Twenty dogs here tonight.

He may be gone but he is still very visible in the Boxer breed today. We are continuing the tradition of producing quality Boxers through Biff.

CH. CAYMANS BLACK BART SOM

“Bart”

Bart is one of those dogs that only comes around once in a lifetime.

Bart was shown on a limited basis but took the Boxer world by storm in 1995. He has multiple Breed, Group and BISS wins and won the 1995 Top Twenty.

Besides being just a wonderful representation of the breed, Bart was our son in every way, he is missed and thought of every day.

His temperament was just what a Boxer should be, kind but protective and he adored his little harem in the house and his get running around him and tugging on his ears….he was definitely “King of His Castle”.

Bart has been bred on a limited basis but he absolutely produces Himself — absolute correct head and mouth, stunning movement and angles and bone that produces quality! Bart has produced winners in every sense of the word!

We have frozen semen on Bart and are very particular on when it will be used.

1998 Top Twenty Winner

CH. HUFFAND’S OBLADAH OF ARRIBA

“Toni”

Toni had a remarkable career in her young life. Under the expert guidance of her triple owners and breeders, Linda Huffman, Carole Connolly and Dr. Ted Fickes, handler Huffman brought her to the attention of the fancy at the 1995 ABC Regional in northern California.

At the Golden Gate Boxer Club show Toni was Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Puppy in Classes; she repeated the Reserve win the following day at the East Bay Boxer Club. Midwest shows found her off and running. At Grand Rapids she was BOB over 9 Specials: Michigan Boxer Club, BOB over 11 Specials; Medina KC BOW then Hoosier KC where she completed her title under Jane Forsyth.

In the summer of 1996, Toni was acquired by Barbara Gibson and Phillip Koenig who placed her in capable hands of Bobby Barlow. Toni and Bobby campaigned sparingly in the fall of 1996 where they grew to know each other’s styles. By the start of 1997, Bobby and Toni put all that work together and astounded the Boxer world by going Best Opposite at Westminster Kennel Club at the age of 2. The year 1997 found them receiving many BOB, Group placements and winning many Specialties.

After a long and deserved rest, Toni appeared at Westminster and was again awarded Best Opposite of 1998. At the 1998 Top Twenty Competition Toni proved what her owners and breeders always believed…that she is one of the finest Boxers ever to be bred. She will go down in history as being awarded the Top Twenty Award unanimously and—another first—she won by a 15% margin. She was awarded BOS at the ABC National following the Top Twenty by Dr. Cres Farrow.

With her illustrious career behind her, Toni was bred to Ch. Josha’s Linebacker and out of 7 beautiful puppies, produced 3 champions. In 1999 Toni returned to ABC Nationals and received an AOM. Thanks to lifelong friends Jerry and Linda Huffman and those who helped Toni in her famed career.

His impact on the breed has been amazing and he still, through frozen semen, is making a big impact on this breed with 63 Champions and more to come.

This all could not have been possible without our handler, Kimberly, who brought out his love of the show ring and conditioned and presented him beautifully during his entire career.

CH. CRYSTO’S IMAGE OF ARRIBA

“Gus”

Born: July 10, 1997 ~ Died: August 15, 2007

“Gus’’ kicked off his show career at the 1998 ABC where he won the huge 9-12 month class.

He would finish his Championship quickly under the guidance of Tami Mishler. Gus began his Specials career with Tami being shown selectively as a Special in 1999 and making the Top Twenty in 2000. He won many BISS on his way to winning the 2001 ABC Top Twenty.

Gus was shown exclusively by Tami Mishler throughout his career.

While we were ecstatic over his many accomplishments in the show ring, it would be his merits as a Producer that has made us the most proud. In 2004 he produced for us Ch. Crysto’s Breathless who would win Grand Prize Futurity at the 2004 ABC.

Gus became an ABC Sire of Merit in 2004 and has to date produced 13 Champions including one Dam of Merit. We wish to thank all of the wonderful breeders who have made this possible.

2013 Top Twenty Winner

GCH. BREHO FORTUITY SHARED TREASURE

“Millee”

Multi Best in Show, Best In Specialty Show winner “Millee” has thrilled us from the moment she entered the ring at 7 months of age and won Grand Sweeps at the Dallas Boxer Specialty March 2011 and Reserve to two majors her first show weekend. She won two majors just before ABC in 2011; 1st 6-9 puppy and Reserve Futurity puppy at ABC and 1st in her regular class. Then she won two more majors to finish her Championship at 9 months from the BBE class right after ABC.

Millee is the youngest Boxer in the history of the breed to win an All-Breed Best In Show at 9 1/2 months her first time entered as a Special! We be-lieve she is still the youngest to finish her Grand Championship at under 11 months old.

At the 2011 Eukanuba Classic, she was the Eukanuba North American Breeder Stakes Champion and received an Award of Excellence, Best Bred By Exhibitor Boxer and Bred By Exhibitor Group 1st.

Entered her first year as a special in 2012, Millee qualified to compete in the Top Twenty in 2013 and she and Terri won! She also received an Award of Merit at the National. What a thrill!

Again winning the 2013 Top Twenty made us so very proud of her! In De-cember of 2013 she went to the Eukanuba Classic and was Best Opposite Sex and Best BBE. In January 2014 she had back to back Best In Show wins! So far this has been a very good year for Millee and Terri!

We are so excited to be here again this year with the very best Boxers in the country!!

We wish everyone the very best of luck!

Judging Procedure for the Top Twenty

1. When the judges first see each dog, they must score it according to an Average Placement Scale of 1 – 10 before it is judged. In other words, the judge must look at the dog on the whole and score it on that scale, with a score of 10 meaning that, as a first impression, the dog appears to be in perfect harmony with the judge’s picture of the “ideal” Boxer. In the event of a tie, this score shall be used as a determining factor to break the tie.

2. Then, the dogs are scored individually by each of the three judges, using the Top Twenty Boxer Point Schedule which is derived from the Standard. When a judge examines an individual dog and compares it mentally to their own picture of the “ideal,” that judge is going through an evaluation process. The Top Twenty Boxer Point Schedule adds the assignment of numerical values to this evaluation and it demands that the judge indicate wherein penalties are assessed for less than the ideal. Since the scores are posted, each judge goes on record, part by part, when they score the dog.

This “hands-on” scoring is far more time consuming than the comparison judging that we are used to. After all, these are our Top Twenty Boxers and they are all competing for the top spot! This type of judging exacts strong discipline on the part of each judge. A fault that seems to stand out to one particular judge might not to the others, thereby, reducing the impact of the idiosyncrasies of individual judges. While in the ring, judges may only confer with the stewards regarding judging procedures.

3. The winner will be determined on the basis of the averaged total scores of each dog and the signed score sheets will be publicly posted following the Show.

MULTI BREED JUDGE

Picture

Warren Hudson

My history consists of 48 years in the Sport of Dogs, and 23 years as an AKC-approved judge. I am a Life Member of the ABC as well as a Life Member of the Pacific Northwest Boxer Club. Boxers were my first, and foremost, breed. My wife and I have bred and finished champion Pugs, Smooth Fox Terriers and Japanese Chins as well as Boxers. Our Champions number more than 50 and they were often owner-bred and owner-handled under our WARJOY kennel name. Some of our Boxer Champions were Ch. Peg-Vin’s Sea Swinger, Ch. Warjoy’s Kismet, Ch. Warjoy’s Kit ‘n Kaboodle, Ch. Warjoy’s Diamond Lil, Ch. Vindex’s Maulika of Warjoy and Ch. Kamursart’s Hi Ho Warjoy.

I have judged the following Boxer Specialties around the United States: Pacific Northwest Boxer Club (twice), Ohio Boxer Club (three times) Sacramento Valley Boxer Club, Cedar Valley Boxer Club, Boxer Club of Milwaukee, Oregon Boxer Club, East Bay Boxer Club and Missouri Valley Boxer Club. Also I have judged Boxer Specialties in Canada, Australia (in Sydney and Perth), and Japan, plus Boxer entries in Thailand and Taiwan. Currently I am approved by AKC to judge Best in Show, The Working Group, The Toy Group, nine Non-Sporting breeds, the Miscellaneous Class and Junior Showmanship (all breeds.)

As a commercial artist by profession, I have worked on the American Boxer Regionals all four times they have been held in the Pacific Northwest with idea theme art and execution.

For me, it is an honor and privilege to judge the American Boxer Top Twenty competition and I look forward to the experience with great anticipation and pleasure. I thank the members of the Top Twenty.

BREEDER JUDGE

Picture

Phillip Koenig

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Phillip Koenig and my kennel name is Bar-K Boxers. My association with the Boxer began nearly 50 years ago the night before Christmas. A beloved uncle called early Christmas Eve and informed my father that a young soldier from Fort Knox had abandoned a young Boxer behind his business and he believed my brother and I needed a dog. It was love at first sight. We named her “Sparkles” and from that point on the Boxer breed was ingrained in my life! Over the years I, along with my parents, have always had a Boxer (or ten) living with us!

My involvement with showing dogs began only 15 years ago with my associate with Joe Heine. With the arrival of a beautiful fawn and white bitch that I bred, Joe urged me to show her. Joe also had the handler for me by the name of Bobby Barlow who had just recently moved to Kentucky. When I told two friends at a cocktail party (after a few drinks) about my excitement over the possibility of showing this girl they arranged for two ladies to help fund my new found hobby. Both were named Barbara which is how the kennel name “Bar-K Boxers” came to be.

Some of the many dogs I have been acquainted with under the Bar-K banner are Ch. Will’s Cupid Golden Arrow, Ch. Bar-K’s Tribute to Barlow, Ch. Bar-K’s To Die For, Ch. Brookwood’s Full Moon, Ch. Bar-K’s Perfectly Perfect, Ch. Springbrook’s Star’s Shine, and most recently, Ch.Cinnrhee’s One of a Kind.

Each and every one of them hold a special place in my heart and I hope that I can continue to enjoy this sport for many more years. Thank you to the Committee for giving me this honor.

HANDLER JUDGE

Picture

Vickie Seiler

We bought our first dog, a Siberian husky, when I was 12 years old. He was to be our pet; however the breeder told us we should show him. My mother thought it would be a fun activity so off we went to our first puppy match. Long story short, the puppy became the top winning Siberian Husky in the history of the breed. I showed in Junior handling, and against the top professional handlers in the business (studying each one of them). At 14 my dog and I placed 4th in the Group at Westminster and went Best In Show at Devon. I decided to become a professional handler, and follow my passion for making dogs look beautiful. I worked as an apprentice for 9 years with George Rood, as I had a specific love for Dobermans and he was the expert.

Finishing the apprenticeship, I jumped right into professional handling, winning First in the Group at Westminster with Giant Schnauzer Ch. Skansens I Have a Dream, the AKC Centennial Show Group First with a Doberman Ch. Briarpatch’s Christmas Dream, handling the top winning Chinese Shar-Pei, Ch. Grayland’s Starlight Margare in the history of the breed, and the top winning Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH. Rattlebridge Masterpiece, in the history of the breed.

I have been lucky enough to have handled dogs to Best in Shows in all 7 Groups, winning more than 100 Best in Shows in total. I was awarded Top New Professional Handler by Kennel Review magazine, and then awarded Top Female Handler of the Year for two consecutive years.

I am a single Mom, so I wanted to not travel as much and devote more time to my children. My whole life has been devoted to dogs; my best fit was to be a part of my passion, I went to work for Procter and Gamble on the Iams and Eukanuba brand.

It is an honor to judge The American Boxer Top Twenty competition! I look forward to spending an evening with friends, and celebrating beautiful Boxers.

GCH. KAJA’S RUBY RED RASCAL AT MAXIMUS

“Ruby”

Wow! What a ride 2013 turned out to be. I can remember sitting in the stands with my mom at the past five Top Twenty competitions and talking about the dream of having a Boxer worthy of competing at such a prestigious event. Well, with a lot of hard work, the right team, a beautiful bitch and a little luck, our dream came true. Her name is Ruby.

In 2010 I was referred to Ruby by Cindy Fowler of Saywin Boxers and the rest is history. When we met, I immediately fell in love with this 13-week old ball of energy and knew she was going to be special. All I had to do was ask her. She exuded confidence and definitely thought she was a princess. She was beautiful and sound with an amazing front, good balance and plenty of reach and drive. These qualities are now her strengths and include a super clean down and back.

Ruby’s career started at 17-months of age and she quickly finished with seven of her points owner handled. She then met Terry Smith and after bonding they never looked back. Ruby and Terry played around in the Specials Ring during 2012 and in 2013 they put the pedal to the metal. Ruby was Terry’s first Boxer Special, and ours as well, but you would never know it. Ruby’s 2013 highlights include:

• Best in Show• 3 Group 1 wins and 15 Group placements• 35 Breed Wins• #13 Breed & #10 All Breed•

My mom and I would first like to thank God for sending us such a special girl. We would also like to thank all the judges that have supported and awarded Ruby. I would like to thank all of my Boxer World friends that have guided and mentored me. Most of all THANK YOU TERRY SMITH. I can’t say enough about your dedication and devotion to Ruby. Without you this would not have been possible. You’re the best!

“Hedley”

We are proud and honored to present our handsome boy “Hedley” in the Top Twenty competition.

His accomplishments include Reserve Best in Show, multiple Group wins, and multiple Specialty Best in Show wins. Not only does he possess style, elegance and intelligence but he has a super temperament and loving nature. His career has brought much excitement and joy to our lives. It is a thrill and honor to own this magnificent, loyal friend.

Many thanks to all the judges who recognized his wonderful qualities.

A special “Thank You” to our handler Amy Bieri for the care and love she showed our boy. You and Hedley have a marvelous connection in the show ring.

GCH NANTESS CALEÑO NUMERO UNO

“Uno”

We waited almost 15 years after joining the dog show world to create our kennel name, Caleño. Since Guido is from Cali, he is a Caleño. So, naturally we wanted an equally distinctive name for our beloved Boxers. Mr. Uno is the first to carry our kennel name, hence “Numero Uno.” To be linked with Nantess has been a privilege and an honor. Nancy and Tessie are successful breeders and we truly enjoy their friendship along with their willingness to share their Boxer knowledge and expert handling.

Uno has been an absolute joy to own and show. His show career was launched with three ABC Best of Winners plaques from the puppy classes in 2011. He finished at just under 15 months of age and enjoyed a year at home just being a puppy and growing up. In 2013 he and Tessie entered the specials world of showing and earned back to back Best in Shows, Multiple Group wins, and Multiple Best in Specialties on his way to ending the year Number Three in Boxer breed points and Number four in Boxer All-Breed points.

A heartfelt thank you extends to friends who have shown their unwavering support for our special boy’s career. As Uno has matured, he and Tessie have forged a bond that is pure magic that clearly shows to everyone ringside.

It is an honor to present Uno as a Top Twenty Contender. We wish all the exhibitors and spectators an exciting evening and best wishes for a fun-filled ABC week!

GCH HO-PA’S GRAND SLAM

“Slam”

Our new Special “Grand Slam” was introduced to the Boxer world in 2012. For us Slam is the epitome of what a Boxer should be--square, elegant, with beautiful head type.

He is very special to us as he goes back to years of our breeding’s here at Rummer Run. Slam took off in the specials ring excelling beyond our expectation for his first year out, finishing the year #2 male Boxer and #3 Boxer all systems. At only 2 years of age he was already a Multiple All Breed Best in Show Winner, Multiple Best In Specialty Show Winner, as well as winning many Groups.

We would like to thank Carol Hobbs and Marlo Parsons for breeding such a fabulous boy and allowing us the opportunity to present him in the Specials ring.

We would also like thank Rick Justice for his hard work, dedication and exquisite handling of Slam. Last but not least we would like to thank all of Grand Slam’s supporters. We have had a tremendous outpouring of people that love him and we thank each and every one of you for your support in 2013.

On New Year’s Day 2010, we were blessed with a beautiful litter sired by Ch. Illyrian’s Trilogy, “Auggie,” out of our beautiful girl AM/MEX GCH DLG Rainbow’s End DOM, “Rainbow”.

The last of six fawn puppies born was a flashy fawn boy, who took our breath away the minute he arrived.

From that day on, Hudson has continued to take our breath away with his elegant ring presence, effortless movement, short back, and beautiful head piece. Hudson is a stunning stand out amongst the crowd with true breed type.

With limited showing, Hudson is a Reserve Best in Show winner, Multiple Group and Breed winner, and now a Top 20 contender.

GCH. LRM PENSTSTAR DIAMOND SERANADE

“Serena”

The whirlwind started in January 2013 with Serena finishing her Championship and 4 days later winning her first BISS at the Oregon Boxer Club Specialty. In 4 weeks she was awarded her Grand Championship and by the end of the year, she had her Silver Grand Championship, and is # 15 Boxer, totally Breeder/Owner Handled.

By the end of 2013, she became an International Champion, National Champion, UKC Champion, with 3 Multi-breed Best in Shows.

Serena is a combination of 25 years of LRM Boxers breeding program, with 25 years of Pentastar Boxers program. She is an amazing combination of what we both breed for; T L C

TEMPERAMENT - Serena is a Service Dog and works in Senior Care Facilities as time allows

LONGEVITY - Coming from several generations of long lived Boxers, her sire was 12 years old and her dam is 9 and still kissing children. Many living to be 13 and 14 years of age.

CONFORMATION - Serena has superb breed type. Breeder judges have noted; “Gorgeous, fluid movement, with excellent down and back, as well as side gait.” She has “Beautiful head-type, gorgeous neck, flowing into shoulders, and a fore chest to die for.”

Myself, here at LRM Boxers, Cathy Spears and Rachel Morris at Pentastar Boxers had a dream and Serena is it. We want to thank all of you who have cheered us on all year long…it was the icing on the cake.

We are exceptionally proud of this handsome boy, and Peyton’s career highlights are as follows:

#6 Boxer 2013 (All Systems Breed points)

2014 Westminster Kennel Club Award of Merit

2013 ABC Award - Most Best in Show Specialty Wins – 9 (tie)

46 Best of Breed Wins

Multiple Group Wins & Placements

2010 Regional Winners Dog - American Boxer Club &

Cedar Valley Boxer Club

We thank the many respected judges who supported Peyton, including those breeder judges who recognize his exceptional representation of sound breed type, smooth topline, and his stunning head type and expression.

GCH. JUST-A-WYN’S FEROCIOUS FERRARI

“Farrah”

Farrah being a Top Twenty contender is an accomplishment of a LIFETIME for Just-A-Wyn Boxer’s, as breeders and owners.

At 9 months of age, Farrah won WB, BOW and BOS over a very strong Breed Entry at Ohio Boxer Club under a well-respected breeder judge. She then finished her championship a mere 3 weeks later at the Monroe Specialty weekend.

With capturing her championship and winning a 5-point major so early on, we KNEW she was going to be something special.

Being so young, we decided to keep Farrah home giving her time to grow up. As she matured we saw the true characteristics of a Top Twenty Boxer. Farrah exhibits beautiful reach and drive, elegant headpiece and exudes Boxer type.

Farrah’s inaugural year as a special quickly careened her to a top winning bitch with multiple BOB, Group Placements and Specialty wins.

We are grateful that Farrah has such a great support system, from her committed and dedicated Breeder/Owner/Handler and committed Co-owners.

It is an honor to be a member of such an elite group. Congratulations to all in the Top Twenty. And good luck to everyone at this year’s National.

GCH BRISBANE N’ BLUE MONDAY’SDIAMONDS ARE DECADENT

“Suri”

Suri’s show career is a dream come true! She finished her championship with four majors -- all at Specialties. Her last major was won on the ABC circuit with a BOS from the classes. At the American Boxer Club Regional she was awarded Best Opposite Sex under Mr. Joe Gregory her first time out as a Special with Kim.

In the record time of four weekends she achieved Top Twenty status at under two years of age.

She began 2014 with a bang winning back to back All Breed Best in Shows. What a thrill!

But the thrills didn’t stop there. In February, she competed for the First time at the Westminster Kennel Club and was Awarded Best Boxer and Working Group #4. Can you say wow?!?

March brought Suri four Specialty Best in Shows in a row.

We are honored by the response that Suri has received from the Boxer fancy. Her lineage goes back to many of our Boxer greats and we are honored to be a part of that history.

Our sincere appreciation to the Breeder judges, the breeders and competitors for their support of our girl.

Suri and her kennel mate Margee will carry the banner for Hi-Tech in tonight’s competition.

GCH LAZY K’S DULCE DE LECHE

“Molly”

If you are lucky you choose the right stud dog to breed to your bitch. The moon and the stars and the planets align and a beautiful puppy is born. From her very first steps she doesn’t put a foot wrong. At 6 weeks old you turn around and see her stack herself beautifully and she takes your breath away. At 8 weeks old your handler says “this is my next special”.

And then it begins...

She finishes her championship quickly and at the age of 15 months she wins her first BISS. And you really are lucky - she loves to show! Over the next year and a half she wins an impressive 10 BISS. Along the way she wins an All-breed BIS, has multiple Group wins and placements, becomes a Gold level Grand Champion and is a top 10 Boxer for 2012 and 2013.

Molly officially retired from the show ring just one week after her 3rd birthday in December 2013. We are extremely grateful for what Debbie Struff accomplished with Molly in that short time. Debbie’s and Karen Quagliana’s dedication, love and affection for Molly has been unwavering. We can’t thank them enough for making dreams come true with our Molly. We are now looking forward to Molly’s next career in the whelping box.

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

GCH JOKAR’S N HAPPY TAIL’S FERGALICIOUS

“Fergie”

From the start, “Fergie” has been a “special” girl! Beginning her career in the classes with her proud breeder/co-owner Amy, she finished with 3 majors, the last one being a 5 pointer at the Boxer Club or Milwaukee Specialty. Included in these wins also was a BOB and Group 1 from the classes and a 1st place in her 6-9 class at ABC.

Fast forward to 2013, this outstanding girl started her specials career with Lori at the end of the lead. In tough competition, Fergie has proven to be a top contender at any level. She is a multiple Best in Show Winner and currently the winner of 8 Best in Specialty Shows. Her style, elegance, and type are truly what we believe a Boxer bitch should be! She continues this year by already winning another Specialty and going Select bitch at the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club.

We are all so happy to be a part of Fergie’s life. A team made up of breeders who all have the same goals in mind… to better the breed we love through showing, mindful breeding, and producing healthy Boxers for the future. With thoughtful line breeding behind our girl, we look forward to the next generation!

Our sincerest thanks to all of the judges for their appreciation of Fergie; we are honored to present her as one of this years Top 20 contenders!

“Margee”

Margarita, or Margee as she is affectionately known, was shown to her championship by owner Joseph with Multiple Breed Wins from the Classes.

At the 2012 American Boxer Club Specialty, under Dr. David Abraham, Margee was awarded Best of Opposite Sex at 17 months of age presented by Jorge over America’s Top Boxers. It was at that time she caught the eye of Tina Truesdale. She became a part of the Hi-Tech Family in July of 2012 along with the partnership of Joseph Vergnetti, America’s top Poodle breeder all Varieties; Wendell Sammet who has been breeding dogs successfully over 67 years and is in the Anne Rogers Clark Hall of Fame, and longtime Boxer breeder/handler Jorge Pinzon.

With the knowledge and expertise of all of these long accredited dog people Margee began a whirlwind career.

Her first weekend out with Kim she took her first Group First and hasn’t looked back!! In her fourth weekend out she won two All Breed Best In Shows and three Group Firsts. Born 10/10/10 this was all before two years of age. She finished out 2012 as America’s #4 Boxer All Breed and #7 Breed Points in five months of limited campaigning.

We thank Larry Dosier for breeding this special girl with limited showing in 2013. She finished #3 Boxer All Breed and #4 Boxer Breed points.

We are honored to have her and enjoy presenting her to the Fancy. With our mutual love and appreciation of Margee our team and family look forward to tonight’s celebration.

“Gavin”

Watching Gavin effortlessly win again in 2013 was more than I could hope for. He was in the Top Twenty in 2012 and did it again with very limited showing in 2013. After the Minnesota Boxer Club Specialty in June 2013 he “retired” and was shown only a few times after that date.

Even so, he was #8 until October and finished 2013 in the Top Twenty…second year in a row! I was proud when I watched him at the 2013 ABC in the Top Twenty ring and even happier when I saw that he garnered the most “rating” points by the Top Twenty judges of any male Boxer in the competition that day. His pretty head and smooth movement made him a standout.

Gavin finished from the 12-18 Class with his fourth major. His most memorable win was three consecutive majors from the 9-12 Class in one weekend and a Grand Sweeps win. Gavin was a multiple Group winner by the age of two. I was thrilled to put his first two Grand CH. Wins on him myself at the Minnesota Boxer Specialty in 2012.

A huge thank you to Abby Balza (Mountaindale Boxers) for entrusting me with him as an 8-week old. Thank you for the opportunity for a wonderful show and house dog. He is a complete gentleman in the house.

Thank you to Stan and Jane Flowers for their professionalism and for presenting him at his best.

Gavin is beginning to prove himself as a sire. His daughter just finished in February 2014 (Ch. Katydid’s Girl Gone Wild) very quickly with 3 majors. Another daughter waits to begin her career.

Kang started his show career by winning Best of Winners at the Boxer Club of Canada National in 2012 at 10 months of age and he has gone on to do more than we could ever imagine.

Kang finished his American Championship at 14 months of age with multiple Sweeps wins and going Winners Dog at Specialties.

The year 2013 saw him try for his Grand Championship which he accomplished very quickly.

Kang went on to win 4 Specialties and he then received an AOM at the American Boxer Club National in 2013.

He finished 2013 as the #11 Boxer in the United States.
