end passenger car.
• Disc brakes all round.
• Dual calipers on all wheels.
• Should partial brake failure occur at least half of the braking power will remain operational for both front and back wheels.
• ABS.
• Electronic brake force distribution ensuring that the truck stops in the minimum distance.
• Parkbrake. When gear lever is in park the back wheels are automatically locked even if the handbrake is not deployed.

MODELS
The entry level Canter LIFT model is the ideal multi-
purpose run around for an operator looking to move
2.5 to 3 tons in a body of up to 4.2m in length. This
unit offers punchy performance from its 96kw motor
mated to a five speed manual transmission, and is
ideal for short haul deliveries. Driver comfort and
alertness is a standard feature by virtue of standard
Aircon and radio/CD. A short wheelbase ensures
maximum manoeuvrability and the tightest possible
turning circle.
CANTER FE6-130 CANTER FE7-150 AMT
The 7500kg GVM rating of this vehicle meets the
needs of short and regional haul operators in the most
popular medium truck segment. Offering a body length
of up to 5m with a payload capability of 3.5 to 4 tons, the
high power to weight ratio from the 110kw FUSO 4P10
engine makes this unit ideal for applications requiring
high average speeds. If you have a lot of freight to
move and a short time to get there, a standard exhaust
brake and the dual caliper four wheel disc brakes with
Electronic Brake Force Distribution will make sure you
get there quickly and safely.
MODELS
This is the burliest model of the Canter LIFT range
offering an 8500kg GVM with a usable payload of
almost 5 tons dependant on application. An ideal
vehicle for applications where a maximum volume
body of up to 2.5m wide can be accommodated
thanks to the extra wide mirror arms incorporating
wide angle mirrors. The standard extra-long wheel-
base allows a body of up to 6m long, making this
unit ideal also for rollback and bakery application.
High and wide bodies don’t make this truck lose its
composure because the 850mm extra wide chassis
complemented by stabiliser bars on both axles keep
the truck right side up.
CANTER FE8-150 AMT
The one driver plus six passenger configuration of
the Canter double cab make this model the most
versatile in the range. It is ideal for applications
where crew needs to be transported with tools,
cargo or truck mounted equipment. Payload is up
to 4 tons on a body of up to 5m long. This vehicle
lends itself to the construction industry as well as the
landscaping and utility service industry which need
crew and goods moved on the same trip. The two
pedal Duonic Automated Transmission make the unit
easy to operate for drivers not used to driving trucks.
CANTER FE8-150 Double Cab
FEATURES
Cab:
Created to make working life more enjoyable and
designed to maximise levels of driver comfort, every
element of the FUSO Canter LIFT cab is superior.
Large door apertures make for easy access and
egress from the cab. A large windscreen offers an
excellent field of view and mirror arms are robust,
stylish and functional. Extra wide mirror arms with
additional wide angle mirrors are supplied on 8.5
ton GVM models for clear visibility past bodywork
up to 2.5m wide. Interior enhancements include a
fully adjustable driver’s seat and a front passenger
bench seat with integral headrests and a redesigned
easy-clean dashboard. In addition there is a fully
rake and reach adjustable steering column topped
off by a steering wheel fitted with an SRS Airbag.
Gear Shift:
A noticeable feature of the new generation FUSO
cab is the gearshift. Mounted on the dash and fitted
across the entire range, the in-dash gearshift lever
falls easily to hand and has been ergonomically
designed for maximum comfort. With the relocation
of the gearshift, cross cab access for both driver and
passengers has also been improved!
Front Cab & Headlights:
The front grill of the new generation Canter has
been purposefully redesigned and the halogen
headlamps, incorporating clear lens indicators, take
on a completely new wrap-around appearance.
Front fog lamps are standard on all models.

SAFETY & RELIABILITY
Safety:
Safety is at the forefront of the new cab design. Featuring the new FUSO
Canter RISE (Realised Impact Safety Evolution) impact system, where all
crash protection aspects have been addressed. The cab floor has been
strengthened, the steering column is now collapsible and the doors now feature
a cross doorframe protection bar. In addition, the new dashboard features an
impact-absorbing frame and is manufactured from shatter resistant materials.
ABS with environmentally friendly non-asbestos brake linings are fitted as
standard on all the new generation FUSO Canters.
Chassis:
The Canter LIFT uses the latest technology in chassis design. The hot rolled
6mm sections, featuring riveted construction, provide a very tough, flexible,
yet lightweight chassis frame. The clean chassis top rails, with pre-drilled
holes simplifies and speeds up body mounting with a resultant reduction of
costs. The chassis is suitable for a wide range of different body applications.
8.5 ton GVM models feature an 850mm extra wide chassis with stabiliser
bars as standard equipment to maintain stability and minimise chassis roll
when fitted with extra wide cargo bodies.
Powertrain:
One engine is used with two different output ratings depending on application.
The Fuso 4P10 engine featuring electronic common rail fuel injection as fitted
to the FE6 model, produces 96kw and 110kw in all other models. With a
capacity of 2998cc this turbo intercooled powerhouse, provides excellent
flexibility, brisk acceleration and class leading fuel efficiency. Coupled to
the 4P10 engine is either an easy shifting five speed manual transmission or
the revolutionary Duonic twin clutch transmission on premium models. The
simple to drive Duonic transmission features six speeds and does not have a
clutch pedal, meaning that gearshifts are always smooth and accurate. This
transmission significantly contributes to increased vehicle acceleration and
performance while enhancing fuel economy at the same time.

The revolutionary Duonic Transmission developed by
FUSO for the Canter LIFT is a world first in light truck
drive train technology.
Two separate clutches (one used for gears 1, 3 & 5, the
other used for gears 2, 4 & 6), are alternatively engaged
making shifts between pre-selected gears smooth and
seamless, with no interruption of power to wheels.
This ensures faster acceleration, less wear and good
fuel economy - the truck is also easily driven, even by
the unskilled driver.
As an additional safety feature, a parking brake pawl is
engaged when ‘P’ is selected locking the transmission,
ensuring that there is no chance of the truck moving if
the driver does not apply the park brake.
