THE TIGER RISING

CHARACTERSIn The Tiger Rising there are about six characters and we’ll tell you all of them starting with the Tiger, Rob and Sistine being the main characters. The secondary characters are Rob’s dad, Willie may and Beauchamp.

The setting for the Tiger Rising is in a dark

Forest/ Neighbourhood in Lister, Florida In a motel

named Kentucky Star.

SUMMARY PART ONERob Horton lives in a motel called the Kentucky Star in Lister, Florida with his dad about six months after his mother’s death. At the Kentucky Star there’s a forest nearby and the place is raining a lot. Everyone bullies him a lot and everything seemed to change his sad life when he saw a girl and her name was Sistine and he later learned that she wears a pink lacy dress and she is always very honest about her opinions and she hates the south. Sistine pretended to hate Rob until the end of the day where Rob tells her about his leg problem and Sistine wants to get the same problem to not go to school.

SUMMARY PART TWORob’s father tells Rob that he needs to go back to school in a few days because his leg problem isn’t contagious. Rob wants to tell people about the tiger and the first person he told was Sistine. She believed him and wanted to go see it without hesitation. Rob brought her to the tiger and Sistine tells Rob about her father and demands to know about Rob’s mother. Rob reveals that her mother’s name. Sistine became quite annoyed by Rob’s shrugging and tells him to stop. Rob feels happy for the first time in a while for some reason.

Evan

SUMMARY PART THREERob meets Sistine’s mother and Rob tells Sistine what his moms name is and how she died.Rob hears Willie May’s story and opinion of keeping animals locked up in cages. Then, Beauchamp gives Rob a job to feed the Tiger and gives him the keys to the cage. He “accidently” told her about the keys. They have an argument about it and when they walked home Sistine met Willie May and told her some advice. Rob father finds the meat bag and gets angry because Beauchamp thinks he’s not enough of a man to put meat on his own table.

Thomas

SUMMARY PART FOURThey let the tiger free. and it runs around for ten seconds then gets shot by robs dad. Rob opens up his suitcase of emotions.
